The Blackpool defender should of been red carded in the first 5 mins when Mark Sykes was clean through on goal and brought down. Maybe things would of been different
This is exactly why anything can happen in a one-off game.

Maybe Murphy will be clean through in the first few minutes and a Bolton player will bring him down and be sent off, giving us a lot more space to play our game. Maybe the same will happen with a Bolton player but the ref will be lenient and only give a yellow, giving us a lift. Maybe those scenarios will happen but the other way around.

You might β€˜deserve’ to finish where you finish over a season, but a one-off game can easily be decided by luck, the bounce of a ball, the decision of a ref or something similar…

Am I missing something here? What difference does it make?

The prevailing winds. Alright it was a different stadium in 86 but now the we have the atmospheric conditions behind us glorious victory is almost assured.

Distressed to see the club are selling half and half scarves on the Official website for this match. Can't get behind that as an idea. Borderline tinpot. Went on the Bolton shop and no sign of them there
Bought one in 2016 at the stadium. Never doing that again. Live and learn.

I won't bother voting on the grounds that neither team is "favourite" in a one-off Wembley shoot out when anything can happen and let's be honest - nobody knows who will win.
There may be one or two deluded fans in both camps - we certainly have them but their delusion is based on our 5 nil win (you're a different proposition now) and our trip to Wembley last year when we demolished Argyle 4 nil - which is history. History is irrelevant and they might as well base it on our FA Cup wins, the last of which was 66 years ago.
What does matter are the performances on the day, the tactics, the "rub of the green" and hopefully to a far lesser extent, the officials.
My hope for the Wanderers is that we bring our A game and that nobody makes a stupid mistake that they'll have to live with.
My hope for the game is that it's decided on the quality and effort both teams bring to the game - a fair fight and may the best team win - although I suspect either team would be delighted with a scabby win where the winning goal comes off the unknowing striker's a**e :)

I guess we will likely wear the Electric Blue Third kit, as we did at their place (I hope not Red/Black). Bolton gets the first choice of colours, as they finished above us. I'd be very surprised if White/Navy versus Yellow/Navy would be acceptable for the TV, especially if it is a bright day. :(

Have a read, it’s quite good.

As football fans we can be react to things quickly, and many can be fickle from time to time, and it did look like we’d thrown it away, but when you reflect on what we’ve been through for the last 20+ years. Certain things are happening, and I can see us playing tier 2 football again.
Liked what i could read but needs some spaces in there! makes it easier to follow.

I believe there will be VAR in operation which will add another dimension to the game.

Yellow ribbon bought for daughter. Plenty in Freelance Fabrics in Kidlington. For the record, I parked legally without obstructing anyone and left without damage or defecation to property.
Defecation? Why would you s**t on a building?
