Tickets 1350 Peterborough Away Ticket Allocation

No issues with this to be honest. It’s the biggest home game of each team’s season, each is quite within their rights to minimise the away fan allocation the greatest extent possible imo.

That’s the wrong view on what makes football great.

Only have to see how the Old Firm Derby has ended up in recent years to see the way it is going.

Also seen Barnsley only Bolton 2k in a 5k stand. 3k empty seats covering up in netting.

I disagree.
10% is fine for away fans. I would rather our home fans are given the seats rather than more away fans.
There has been a lot of discussion about our new ground and whether the away allocation should be more. I believe that it has been decided that the away fans will have 10% and the club will try and fill the rest with home fans.

There's probably a load of risk assessments, licencing checks and approaches to the safety regulator and TVP before you can amend the away allocation.

Just seems like a ball ache.

Except that means we get those ancient, cramped wooden seats.
Bum-bustingly uncomfortable but they also make me a bit nostalgic. Not many grounds still have them and they remind me of the old Beech Road seats on the odd occassion I sat there with my granddad in his later years. Seem to remember the acoustics in that old stand are quite good too.

I’m sorry but a playoff semi final is absolutely not the time for well-reasoned level headedness. What’s next? Hoping we don’t lose by too many and all the players just get to have fun? Peterborough are scum, I always knew it, this confirms it. Harris to “shush” each of the three away fans we allow in on Sat individually.

Old crappy wooden seats that you literally can't sit comfortably in (good excuse to stand), yet they still charge one of the highest ticket prices in the league for them.

That's a bit different having empty seats. We will sell out the home areas at the Kassam and Posh will sell all of their home areas I would of thought.

Said Beech Road seats numbers 1 to 6 current in storage in my garage, long lead time to get them installed

If they sell all the tickets to Posh fans then I have no issue with it. Completely get the ‘atmosphere’ arguments but as long as it’s bums on seats not swathes of empty tarp to be petty then it is the club’s priority and I’ve no issue with prioritising getting more of their own fans in. It’s their prerogative and if it’s a sell out then hopefully the 1400-ish Oxford fans who snag a ticket make plenty of noise from those awful wooden contraptions.

The scenarios described above (ie clubs with massive away sections providing the minimum % allocation then tarping off seats to minimise away fans) seems completely different than wanting to get as many of your own fans in as possible - and wholly petty. Self-harming too, why would you not want every pound in ticket sales you can get in this day and age.

Aye let’s just give them the whole North stand when they come to our place, should create a good atmosphere.

There’s a difference between banning them completely and doing the fewest required, particularly in such a key game when the ground is guaranteed to sell out with home fans otherwise anyway.

The Barnsley thing is weird but presumably due to not being able to appropriately divide the concourse or entrance to the stand. It’s maybe a little petty, but I still feel like it’s a club’s prerogative if they want to miss out on some cash to accentuate a home advantage.

As an aside I don’t quite get why they are so salty with us. Their allocation has been pretty consistent with what we’ve given away fans all season, it’s a shared stand with home fans and we’ll be selling up to the mandatory restriction/separation with home supporters. Pretty sure there are ST’s in that area too.

What else do they expect us to do?

Maybe to do with our low take up back in December .
We were given the stand behind the goal .
