New Stadium Plans - The Triangle - Planning

Don’t forget the local elections are at the end of May
These councillors may not be there in June. With the Conservatives doing so badly in most polls it wouldn’t surprise me if the Lib Dems and Greens got more seats, which is not good news for us.
And that is the problem, at the moment we have a reasonable decent planning committee but if they get in I fear the worst.

Middleton's going to be £500 down then?
But if Middleton is going to stand as a prospective Green MP for Woodstock and Bicester then he can’t be on any council. That’s going to cost with new council elections if he’s elected in May in local elections.
Or I’m not sure he can still be a CLLR until the general election.

I don't think there is anything to stop IM being a Councillor even if he is an MP. But could be wrong.

How he is going to prove he is neutral 😂😂😂 There are so many screen shots of his past comments that show he is anything but neutral!
Just because you delete comments Ian doesn’t mean you didn’t say it.
At least we know the club and their lawyers know about this.

So Paul has posted up something I can't even remember seeing took me a while to find
But even the mail has said he's against

Backlash?
He should only go to the police if there are crimes committed.
Going to the police because there is a backlash? I suspect that the stretched police were very pleased to hear from him

He shouldn’t be allowed to stand as CLLr or if by any miracle he is elected and MP as he could carry some clout on these councils but on the other side he couldn’t be an MP and a Cllr at OCC because I doubt very much the Greens would win overall control as it more than likely be Lab/LibDem

The only tactic they have left is delay. They will try their upmost to delay the inevitable in the hope that our esteemed owners walk away.

That’s definitely the case. They’re jumping on any minor issue and asking for a delay in proceedings because of it. It’s all the more obvious that they’re in cahoots because McIvor and Middleton have both pressed for the same argument in the OM and on Nextdoor respectively.

It’s what they have left as legal proceedings would be a massive stretch for them.

A change of faces on the committee, would probably lead to the decision being delayed until the July meeting ( using lack of time since being elected a few days earlier).
As for refusing based on political/ personal beliefs- all councillors will be doubly reminded by the planning officers,of the large financial implications for CDC ,if an application were refused for spurious reasons and OUFC ultimately granted permission on appeal.

It's another piece of Middleton spin.

Surely as a prospective MP, he should listen to his potential constituents concerns about his view of the stadium instead of throwing his toys out the pram and threatening legal action. Just one look at the planning portal shows overwhelming support for the stadium in his potential constituency.

There is nothing in law to prevent an MP being a local councillor, but it is customary that they step down from local government at the next local election if they are elected to Westminster.

Part of me wants to see IM make a tit of himself in the Houses of Parliament

Right at the beginning of this, Middleton, McIvor and Campbell were bragging about delaying and disrupting other projects. They spoke about the additional housing around Kidlington and saw the years lost, and the huge costs incurred on all sides was a victory for them.

I don't think that they have ever won any campaign, but what they have done is wasted the time and resources of already overstretched councils and prevented growth and investment locally, whilst also scaring some of the more vulnerable local residents to fund their little ego trips.

They are leeches. The very worst of this breed of serial campaigners who are too arrogant to hide their bigoted and nasty views to bully others.

Their usual campaigns of hate and against faceless organisations with little come back. They have also looked to label football fans as sub human thugs to invalidate our views. But we have collectively acted with dignity, respect and professionalism and have exposed what they really are at every turn.

Those who have genuine concerns about the stadium, and those who are fearful of change, deserve so much more than Middleton and Co. provide. And for them alone I hope that we prove to be the very best of neighbours once we finally get the stadium approved.
