Ex-Staff Liam Manning

Quite the opposite actually, with the advert income going up he's pretty much single-handedly paying for the admin summer party this year. Perhaps the rest of you should take note and raise your games.
What is the admin summer party and can we get invites? Is it just you and @Carpy splashing out (so to speak) on a VIP lane in Hollywood Bowl and then dinner at Frankie and Bennies?

What happens at summer party stays at summer party. Let's just say that you'll be moderating yourselves for a few days after.

£10,000 a week hike in wages on a 3 year deal. He will get £1.5-£2m pay off if he’s sacked soon. Is there seriously an Oxford fan out there who would not have gone in his position? What do you expect him to do stay just because us fans love the club for a lifetime? These managers are no more than stop gaps in the bigger picture. Klopp says he loves Liverpool - give it a year or two and what are we meant to make of it when he’s running up the touchline in his Real Madrid top in a CL game at Anfield ? All managers are doing the fist pumps, it’s an in the moment reaction to a win that pumps the fans too. 300% wage increase, we are all off no matter what’s been said or done before.
I wouldve said thanks but no thanks, ive only just joined Oxford and cant put them in the s**t, come back at the end of the season when the timing would be a whole lot better.

If Manning backs himself to be successful he doesnt need to take a pay rise gamble early on as he will earn way more in the future.

Was at Bristol City u18's vs Scum u18's in the Youth Cup, he has clearly implemented his style throughout the club, as it was like watching us at the start of the year

What, did they play awfully and get stuffed 2-0 by Swindon, as we did by Cambridge then?

The re-writing of history on this thread is laughable.

Neither Liam Manning or our club came out of him leaving well. In fact, both of us have gone backwards so it’s quite sad it happened.

He may be earning more money for now but it won’t be long till he’s sacked at a club who in my opinion will not get top 6 in the Championship whilst Lansdown is owner. I don’t think his next job will be a job better than ours. It will probably be a smaller League One club. Someone like an Exeter.

However we also haven’t come well out of it. We would be looking forward to 2 League One play off semi finals at a minimum had he stayed in my opinion. Maybe even challenging for second place.

We’ve won 5 out of Buckingham’s 20 League games in charge & we are 13 points off automatics.

I think with LM sticking we don’t see as many bad performances & results as we have such as Cheltenham away, Northampton home & away, Bristol Rovers away, Reading home & away, Orient at home. I’ve left a few out there too which you could also argue about.

In his 15 games in charge this season I only came away fuming at the lack of plan & result in 2 games.

Cambridge away & Wigan away. Those 2 performances had massive similarities to the games I’ve seen the last 3/4 months.

I was pissed off after both Bristol Rovers games.

Bristol Rovers (Home - Manning) - we started well but we're second best for much of the game and should have lost. We evaporated into nothing over the final 20 minutes. Exciting scoreline, poor performance, felt like wheels were coming off.

Bristol Rovers (Away - Buckingham) - one of the worst performances I've seen, and definitely the worst away performance I've ever seen. We were awful for about 80 minutes with only Burey offering a glimpse of hope. It felt like the wheels were never even on.

Port Vale at home?
Bristol City in tue L Cup?

Port Vale at home we’d of won comfortably if Harris didn’t lash out.

We also fought back with 10 men only to blow it with a soft red card for Leigh & a horrific refereeing performance.

Vale were flying at the time too.
