Silly argument, he isn't the one claiming to know what the majority think. People usually socialise with like minded individuals so will see things from their point of view. I'd far rather things carried on as normal bar the day of the funeral and most people I know think the same, others who think it's fair everything is cancelled might well associate with others who agree. I'm not a fan of being told I need to mourn, people deal with things differently, there are people on this thread who have gone to games very soon after a close relative has died and that's fine as it's what they want to do.
Also I'm sure I've seen an argument of "just get on with it" in regards to things being cancelled, which is a fantastic contradiction. Unfortunately this thread looks like it could turn nasty but I haven't seen any disrespect to the queen.
