Matches 27/04/2021 - Playoff pack games

There’s going to be a lot of ifs, buts and maybe’s before the end of the season, so the best we can do is win our games and hope the other teams in contention slip up, but not take the mickey until we’re in the play off/ultimately promoted.

If that fails, well we can take satisfaction of Swindon’s relegation. Silver linings and all that.

I think it’s entirely reasonable to take the P**s out of other teams misfortunes, but only if you’re prepared to have that pisstaking reciprocated if the tables are turned. It’s called banter isn’t it?

Agree, but I think it’s about timing.

To take the P**s now for it to potentially bite us up the a**e a few days later will feel futile, but keep the powder dry may just pay dividends.

For example, I really hope the whole Sunderland debacle will end up biting them up the a**e.

I’ve had an involuntary disdain for Sunderland for years even during their PL days.

It’s the pseudo big club mentality that permeates the north east. ‘We have lots of fans so we deserve success’ mindset. Sunderland fans pour out of the SoL from the 70th minute if they’re losing (‘Stay to the end at the Stadium of Light to beat the traffic’ Gary Lineker once quipped), they march around League 1 thinking they’re entitled to promotion, they haven’t won anything in years and they get on their team, manager, owners and everyone in between when they so much as drop a point.

Keep them pinned down so they have to suffer more. Trips to Cheltenham, Cambridge, Accrington and Plymouth again for them next season.

Ah yes Blunderland........"mentally weak & playing s*** " seems the generic summary from up there.

Banish Trevor Kettle to a remote island in the middle of the Pacific for starters
Nah, South Atlantic, Ascension Island should do it.

Trevor K - middle of the Atlantic? the Pacific? even the Dead Sea?

It matters not, he will ‘stay in the middle’ wherever it is....it’s what he does!

cock.

Mediterranean

Any ocean. Just make sure it's at the bottom of that ocean, deepest part, with a few nice chains tied around his legs.

What are you talking about? They are the reigning EFL Trophy holders! Won the 2021 final against Tranmere.
