Presumably the rate of first timers will now drop through the need to get the second jabs done within the extended time window

I'm guessing that with us still only being around 10 weeks into the vaccine roll out, and many of those only started since the turn of the year, we will begin to see many more people getting their second dose in the next few weeks. The 15m target was one that I'm sure many thought wouldn't ahppen, so it's a great thing that we've got there, but I still think we can do so much more and I hope that we can do the over 50's and essential/emergency workers by Easter which will give us real hope for returning to normal by late spring.

There are plenty of things to moan at Boris and co. about but I think that the pre-ordering, the investment in research and the distribution process has been excellent and will hopefully save many lives and the economy from total collapse.

And less of us as well, to the tune of 100,000 plus.

This gives a truer picture, we need to remember that a large % of those 100k would have died anyway, irrespective of Covid.

You can fall into a wormhole of age, ethnicity, social deprivation etc that also form a big chunk of the bigger picture.

We both had invitations for vaccine on Saturday. I’ve been on the Nonavax double blinded trial since Oct / Nov.
unblinded today. Had a placebo, now booked for vaccine on Friday.
was offered to stay blinded & have another 2 injections ensuring that I end up with a vaccine to retain the integrity of the trial.

I had an az vaccination two weeks ago through my gp. Just been offered a pfiizer one through my local hospital who must have a different patient list. I am a bit tempted feels like getting full cover should I go for it or would that be very wrong . I know they are doing trials on mixing and matching I would happily volunteer. Any advice anybody?
