Good sales over the last few hours, we're now within 200 of the 10,000 target. We may just do this!

To answer the perennial question, season ticket holders are counted in the figure given out by the club, whether they turn up or not, and that is 100% the case.

Ah, what could mess up the calculation is block 1. There are a number of seats in block 1 (Fence end, corner SSL) that are not available for sale. I can't imagine these seats have actually been sold and perhaps just reserved by the club for staff, youth team, misc reservation etc, etc - would these count in sales/attendance?

We may suffer a little from the last-Saturday-shopping-before-Xmas dip in attendance. I think Boxing Day is far more likely to bring out the semi-regulars.

The people at Viagra will be delighted that their adverts around the pitch on Wednesday will have struck a chord with the fans.

Lincoln sales appear to be going well and a little bit of a surge since Wednesday. I'm sure CB can add a bit more accuracy to this!
Looking at Lincoln website it appears their initial allocation was only 800 + 3 pairs of disabled. I can't see anything indicating they have received any more. But surely they are entitled to 1,200 and I would be very surprised if they didn't take up this allocation.
But whether they have 800 or 1,200 surely we should open up Block 26 now for home supporters and make available the best seats asap rather than giving the benefit of the good seats to the last minute people.

My very basic dot counting I think puts us at pretty much 10k with walk ups tomorrow making allowing us to hit the target with some to spare! Great work by everyone!!

I saw the tweet from the club and find it quite odd if I'm honest.

The figure we're looking for is 8,175 home sales, as Wycombe were given 1,825 and have sold them all. I currently have us less than 50 from the required figure. Sales have been very good yesterday and today, with about 800 being sold across the two days. My figure is often about 100/125 above the club's figure (due mostly to seats that have restricted view that are not put on sale) but the 700 needed is a discrepancy of over 500 with my figure at that time, which has never happened before, so something doesn't add up.

Seats are clearly selling, as I can see each time I check the variance from the previous time, and there is a clear pattern. The "sales" in Block 1 and some of the other "wide" areas are where the club put families of academy players and other complementaries, which explains why sometimes 50 or more seats suddenly appear to be "sold" in an area where there had previously been very few sales. Sometimes these only occur in the week leading up to the game, but they do count towards the attendance figure.

Although my figures show us needing less than 50 sales I'll factor in the 125 differential that usually occurs and say we still need just under 200, which I think we'll do by the way.

When I first saw a tweet with those figures, it was timed before 9am so they maybe just basically chucked out the same thing again so your figures are actually closer together.

Ah, that makes perfect sense!

I was going very much on a rough counting of the remaining dots and had a total very close to the magical 10k, so I'm sure your figures are pretty accurate.

With it being an expensive time of the year, with other big games so close, it has been an excellent show of support for the team who deserves this and more every week. Including Boxing Day this will an exceptional week, and one that everyone involved in, from the players, backroom teams, owners and supporters, should all be very proud.

This 10k stuff is a bit of cop out imo. Wycombe are bringing 1800, do your own maths from 10,000 for that. Plus they will have plenty of fans in the home end. Whilst it’s a clever marketing ploy from Ox, it’s a little mischievous at the same time.

Oh ffs. 10,000 3 times in 10 days is fantastic.
Are you seriously having a pop at that?

When adding In the away fans, yes. Yes, i am. We could just sneak over the 10k fishier and it’ll be proclaimed as a massive result. Not once will it be mentioned that Wycombe totalled 1800 + home end tickets (which they’ve mentioned on their forum) still 8200 home fans is very good .

Regardless 10k three times in a row is a great achievement.
The last time we did this was in the PL equivalent when away fans would have been 2500?

I’d imagine a lot of Wycombe fans will pay on the day tomorrow as well (home end) so should easily beat 10k now

It's still likely to be more than 2k more home fans than we've had at any other home game so far this season. This is an increase of 30%+ which is massive and will be repeated on Boxing Day. We then go into the new year with a very winnable game in the FA cup with the chance of another huge game to come. With league games against Sunderland, Ipswich, Portsmouth, Bristol Rovers and Bolton still to come, we are in a great place to have a number of 9k plus games. This is a fantastic effort from a club looking to re-engage with the local community.

As for Wycombe having plenty of fans in the home end? Good luck with that!!

We should turn the jim smith stand into a 'yellow wall' as per dortmund. Show your colours!
