I went to pick up my son from his mates house in Shipton-under-Wychwood yesterday evening. Coming down the hill into the village, I noticed an OUFC scarf tied to a bench on the side of the road and attached to it was a note. I stopped to have a look and saw that the note was asking that the scarf not be removed for a few days so that the person who left it could remember someone special to them and be reminded of their time together. It was very moving.
