That's debatable if we have a better whole squad. We have a better starting 11 but have struggled with lack of quality in depth. We have no plan b to go down the shithouse option and I'm glad we don't as I wouldn't pay to watch that shite every week.
I’d definitely take the keeper; no one else.

Des and the rest of the coaching staff. But are they to blame for Sam Long playing a ridiculous back pass that cost us a late equaliser at home to Northampton or Cumming letting that long range shot in against Shrewsbury?

The collective should take the blame for us failing this season, that's the manager, coaching staff , recruitment team and the players.
They kind of are to blame for sticking with players like long season after season.

It's very simple. Lose against Exeter and it don't matter what anybody else does. Season over. Exeter game is a MUST WIN, then hope that lady luck is on our side.
Compared to last season this season has been miles better. Personally I think we would be in the same position if snakeman Manning was still in charged Compared to Des.
I for one am very proud to be a yellow and will always be no matter what.
The triangle is the most important thing. Nothing else matters, no triangle no OUFC

Why we loaned out GoD and got a crocked striker was unforgivable. Harris has been incredible staying fit and giving absolutely his all and scoring goals as well. A credit to himself and my player of the season.

Goodwin has scored more goals in his brief spell than G’OD has this season. G’OD was offering precious little and was crying out for a loan. It’s a bit revisionist to say that G’OD should have stayed because Goodwin hasn’t given us as many games as expected. There was nobody on here saying G’OD’s loan was a bad idea.

I mentioned this in another thread but the failure to land a striker wasn’t just a problem in January but back in the summer too. We’ve lacked any real options up front aside from Harris all season.

I hope next season we have a few more options in the #9 role. Harris has had a good season but you have to say that the option of a pacey forward or a target man would have given us a few more styles to choose.

You realise we don't have a god given right to get promoted?

Correct. That’s clearly not my point. My point is there is a major fan acceptance for failure. As proven with KR. As proven with the twisting of how good Manning was here. As proven with the same nonsense that Buckingham is a the second coming of Guardiola.

It’s a bit easy to just say a team are ‘bottlers’ but there are genuine cases of it in football - Arsenal last season for example - and I think we'd unfortunately fall in to that category this season if things don’t go our way next weekend. From the position we were in, three home games in a week, starting with a resounding 5-0 win, you’d have to say the manager and players ‘bottled’ these last two. Big crowds, big expectations, big pressure and we’ve fluffed our lines. Getting players in with that right mentality is going to be as, if not more, important than what they can do with a ball at their feet. As a club we’ve generally specialised in failure for a long while now and, while I’m not sure the fan base drives that losing culture, I think there might be an acceptance or thinking amongst a lot of fans that it’s all going to end up pear shaped - again.

Your point is nonsense.

Yes. They influence a culture at a football club.

Our current culture is rotten.
It’s a culture that accepts failure.

This is a very odd statement, but if that really is your view, I would ask you in what way do you intend to stand out from the rest of us ‘rotten fans” then? How are you going to do your bit to change the culture of the club?

Are you a season ticket holder? If so, will you not be renewing out of protest?

Will you stop going to games?

Will you be taking banners to each home game to voice your protest?

Will you be negatively vocal in the stands?

Please enlighten us as to what difference you intend to make? Besides sounding off on a fans forum that is.

You are entitled to your view of course, but please forgive me if I find this particular statement bemusing. To suggest the majority of fans are rotten and encourage failure is, quite frankly, ludicrous.

Indeed it’s an awful watch, and pretty embarrassing.

Having said that, a bit of shithousery goes along way. It worked wonders having Maguire and Hylton doing it all the time. It clearly works, but yes I’d rather see the team play the game the right way, but sometimes we are very weak and an extremely soft touch.

Hang on we are talking about a team that has only lost a couple of games since January and have scored 5 in two games (Barnsley was one of them) and 6 in one
Against better footballing teams they adapt their game and came out with credible draws against Derby, Peterborough and beat us.
Wish we could change our style against the better sides because our record is very poor generally and has been for 5/6 seasons and that has meant we have missed out on automatic promotion.

I would love us to play like Lincoln in games against the top sides
