Really good from Des, and I thought that Grant and Tim also came across very well too. The fact that there was a contingency plan in place for Manning leaving, and that Ed and Faz had already drawn up a list of potential candidates shows that the club is moving in the right direction off the pitch as well as on it.

There are bits of Oxford in there, but he sounds (unsurprisingly) like someone who's lived abroad for quite a few years.
No reason we should.I really hope he does well - he seems to have already achieved God like status without having actually done much! What if we lose the next 3 games?

This all feels like it could be too good to be true; Local boy, Oxford supporter with strong ties and a history with the club suddenly comes home (while also being a young, brilliant, forward-thinking coach who plays attacking football) and leads us to the Second Division and a new, state of the art stadium. Someone wake me up…
