To commemorate Oxford United’s 125th Anniversary on Saturday 27th October the Yellow Army will be walking from the very place the club was founded, The Britannia Inn in Headington, to their current home, The Kassam Stadium.

If you’d like to take part in the walk, contact us at 125@yellowarmy.co.uk

If you would like to make a donation, visit www.justgiving.com/campaign/YellowArmy125

Just wanted to give this announcement a little nudge.

It got a bit lost in yesterday's posts about the Fans Forum and Man City.

I might be biased, but I think this is more important than both of those topics.

We're want to raise as much money as possible for the Community Trust, and for Oxfordshire Mind. Suicide is the biggest killer of men between 20 and 49 years of age. You can help us to help them make a difference to the lives of people who go and watch Oxford United.

Nice idea. Worthy causes both.

Good luck. I hope it goes well.
Is the idea to have a beer in the Britannia before the walk?

You can now donate by text to the Yellow Army 125th Anniversary Walk, making it even easier to support two great causes, the Community Trust and Oxfordshire Mind. You can donate whatever amount you want, by putting the amount in the text message.

So to donate £3 just text “OUFC18 £3” to 70070.
If you want to donate £5, then text “OUFC18 £5“.
For £10, it’s “OUFC18 £10” and so on.

If you would like to make a donation online, then just visit www.justgiving.com/campaign/YellowArmy125

If you’d like to take part in the walk, contact us at 125@yellowarmy.co.uk

If the Walk goes past the 'Bird, reckon there's potential to collect some cash towards the total if any of the walkers are taking some form of receptacle/ tin to collect £ en roiute

rattle collection tins at the many members of tvp who like to observe the 'bird from all angles on matchdays too perhaps?

Already arranged Sarge. I'll come and find you, no hiding in the loo ;)

I'll be out front ...smoking n drinking ;)

We're appealing for fans to help with a bucket collection in the ground if you fancy it?

If fans want to help with a collection (you don't have to be on the walk to help) just drop us an email to 125@yellowarmy.co.uk and let us know where you sit. If everyone at the game on Saturday chucked in 50p we'd easily reach our target!

2 great local charities who provide a really important service in and around Oxford.
