There is a thread in miscellaneous on the subject of OUFC ladies needing to raise £ for wsl licence....would ox vox contributing towards the licence be something ox vox membership would support?

I'll put it forward as a proposal, is there a seconder for the proposal?

OUFC ladies are established, women and girls football at all levels is on the rise, I think it's important that OUFC are a part of it

Its being reported on the BBC football website that they are going to apply for a license and Eales is going to continue to fund them.

Darryl is going to fund the team to maintain their current level and the club will seek additional funding through crowdfunding and sponsorship in the future, in order to progress and hopefully go full-time (WSL1).

Very short article here:

Lauren has set up a Just Giving Page here:

^^ just giving page to crowd fund OUFC ladies etc was what I couldn't cut n paste....cheers for posting it @Craig

Having simply read the two links Sarge, could someone provide further and fuller information. We can't seem to see a official club news story.

For example, on the crowdfunding page, it's for a target of £2000. Is that the cost of the licence?

Not 100% certain at the mo....about to commute back to the shire imminently, if no-one else can enlighten, I'll have an investigate later/tomorrow.... though hopefully @Craig or someone else may be able to provide the information?

The most honest answer I can give is I don't know. As above, nothing official has been announced by the club, so I'd only be guessing based on the bits and pieces I've read.

You can contact Lauren directly by either calling 01865 337512 or emailing her by clicking the link below her name (on the right-hand side).

Alternatively there's a link at the bottom of the Just Giving page as well.
