Also Facundo Tello is the guy who is so well respected that UEFA invited him to ref in the Euros two years ago (first ever non-UEFA ref to do so)

TBF Collina seems a lot more reputable and believable than Infantino!

As far as the officiating at the WC goes, I thought they started very well - not blowing up for every 'contact' and the VAR intrusion seemed pretty minimal. As it has gone on, I think it has got worse. Of course the standard of the refs varies wildly - I guess that is inevitable really - but there seems to be more of the 'fall over, get a foul' and 'VAR looking at things in super slow motion' shenanigans.

Another inevitability is that managers of losing sides (and the press of that nation) will question the honesty of the refs when they lose!
