Potentially good news for our women's team as changes announced in the WSL league structure.
WSL expanding to 14 teams, with 2 up from WSL2 ( plus bottom WSL side v 3rd WSL2 playoff). One up one down will then resume - along with a 2nd v 2nd bottom playoff.
Both third tier leagues ( incl OUWFC) will now promote their top side automatically each season (as opposed to having to playoff against each other for one spot).
In addition for this coming season, both 2nd placed sides will playoff for an additional spot.
This should hopefully increase our chances of getting back into WSL2 and re-establishing ourselves at that level - ready to welcome playing in the new stadium
