EFL Winding Up Petitions / Lists in the football league and beyond

sadly a likely to be true scenario of the future :( ...... a lot of non league teams and lower league sides will either be part time not full time or, will be replaced with Shaun Harvey's aim of prem b teams ?
ah makes sense now. introduce poor owners who in turn puts clubs out of business thus creating need to fill league with premiersh#t b teams

Not a WUP but Ebbsfleet’s players refused to do a pre-game warm up after not being paid recently.

EFL is extremely concerned with Bury's state of affairs. Players and staff have not yet been paid for March.

If this occurs, when would the points deduction take effect?

I think that if they are relegated this season then it would take effect next.

Should they avoid relegation then points would be deducted this season. (and they'd be relegated)

Interesting quote from Ipswich re: the way HMRC deal with this: "“We only became aware of today’s court hearing via the media yesterday and we are currently investigating with the authorities why it did get to court as it concerns a debt that was paid - and for which we received acknowledgment of payment - in the middle of March,” a club statement reads."

Is this just a case of the formalities having to be dealt with in court as it has been paid? If not, the Ipswich fans on their forums seem oblivious to it and are only talking about having signed James Norwood from Tranmere (when in reality at this moment it appears it is only a rumour from the Daily Mirror).

It looks like a new WUP as it has a new reference. The last one from March (ref CR-2019-001678) got paid but somehow went to the winding up list.
