As you'll see from my podcast, I love finding old OUFC archive on YouTube or wherever. Here's a deal: you take a watch of my podcast below, and post something you want me to try and find, and I'll try to find it. You might even get a mention in the next podcast.

So far I've found 75 of Joey Beauchamp's 77 goals, David Icke in goal for Oxford, Phil Trainer's freekick at Rushden, commentary of our highest ever scoring game with Norwegian commentary, and Matt Murphy's wild overhead kick at Cardiff.

The great missing goal of OUFC history is Rhodes-Brown thunderbolt v Chelsea at the Cuckoo Lane end back in the top flight days, that's the one that seems to have never been captured.

Brock's Free kick v Man Utd at Old Trafford in 83/4 was missing for years as well, although found again now.

I was speaking to him about this at the last open day... he said he did have a copy on video, and leant it to someone (a Chelsea fan i think) and they either lost it or taped over it.
Can't remember where he said he got it from, as it was during the period of no football on tv.

So... late 90's I was stood on the left side of the London Road as usual apart from I was further over towards the corner flag than where I usually stood (it must have been busy).

Dean Windass was holding the ball up towards the corner and he reached out and shook hands with someone in the Beech Road terrace, whilst shielding the ball from an opponent.

Did this actually happen? I'm wondering if I dreamt it. There must be someone on here who had a season ticket in that corner who can confirm, even if there's no video evidence.

I believe the club were recording games at the time, I remember if you went into the 100 club after the game had finished, they had a TV showing a rerun of the game.

Yes that's right, you used to be able to buy them from the club shop on the corner of Osler Road. I definitely remember being in said club shop and they were playing that Chelsea match on the TV and showed Rosie's goal.

Gary Briggs’s punching an arsenal forward in the head while pat jennings was taking a goal kick, I think his name was Allison or something like that, tha ball bounced and ended up in our goalies hands, Briggsy was half way up the field and the forward was on the ground, I think I was one of the only people to see it. Pure Gary briggs.

In the mid 70s we were featured on Star Soccer away to Notts County, MOTD at home to Shrewsbury and the Big Match/Southern Soccer away to Portsmouth, I've seen none of these since the original airings.

Think it was Perry Groves

Can't think of his name at the moment but who was our player who stood on the ball in front of the away fans at Grenoble Road a few years back? (Stood on it deliberately with both feet rather than tripped a**e over tit). I think he was Scottish but not Maguire.

Ian Allinson scored Arsenal's second goal.

Steve Maclean?

I'd like to see Bobby Charlton's 87th minute equalizer against us in the league cup in 1972. I was right behind it on the slightly raised bit of Cuckoo Lane terrace. I'd like to see if it was as I remember it; a typical blockbuster into the left hand corner of the net (from Charlton's perspective).

When Michael Appleton punched through the dugout. Possibly against Mansfield Town.

I think there is only photographic evidence.

Left foot volley from pretty much on the touchline (at least that’s what it looked like from where I was standing).
I was probably around 15 at the time, and Rosie has been my hero ever since!!

A different Torquay game; I'd love to see a video of Jack Midson's hat trick. We were stood behind the goal that he scored them in. A great day.
I think that was on my birthday. Due to proximity to New Year’s Day fixtures it’s rare that I get a match on the day.

Stuart Massey swinging on the crossbar at Wycombe after Moody scored.

While there’s footage of the goals, the game against Sw*ndon in March 2012 would be even more amazing if it happened today as there’d be so much crowd footage from what was an amazing afternoon. I know there’s split opinions of crowd vlogs, but I’d watch every second of all of them from that game.

Wasn't that the same Torquay game?
Was that the game Beano smashed one in as well? Think we scored 4 or 5. Remember the journey taking ages as there was so much traffic so thinking it was a Bank Holiday fixture.
I so wish I’d have kept some sort of written record of the games I attended but back then I’d have laughed at the idea!

Not OUFC but I was at Crystal Palace vs Leeds in the late 90s and Tomas Brolin (ex-Leeds) was waddling around midfield to much hilarity in the away end. He got a head injury (again, to cheers) and was bandaged up by someone who had been watching too many Egyptian mummy movies. Later in the game, he was trying to close down a clearance and the ball got whacked into his face, he turned around and the next player wellied it and hit his face again, with the bandage turban flying off in a wide arc and landing on the ground. It was like the Three Stooges made real and I don't think I've seen a bunch of fans lose it collectively quite as much as that incident.

I want to know what the missing words are from the thread title before I answer this.
