Reacher on prime is a good watch no nonsense bloke built like hulk and biceps like rpg's takes no s**t from anyone.

Caught the James/Doves gig earlier this year in Birmingham, James were great. Doves were bloody amazing.

A really good adaption from the books, exactly as you would picture the character. Which makes it all the more unbelievable that when they decided to turn Reacher into a film, someone decided Tom Cruise was the man to play the Reacher...
 
Have we done the Odyssey? I enjoyed it but as someone who loved the Greek myths as a kid I didn’t find it that magical - too grey and grim and too much fighting.

Thought it was superb and very funny. If I had one complaint it was that Seth Rogan couldnt really hold his own compared to the acting chops of Olivia Wylde, Ed Norton and Penelope Cruz. That said, his comic timing is spot on.

I quite like the sound of that. Did you see The Studio on Apple TV? Very funny comedy with Seth Rogan

Tom cruise company Cruise/wagner brought the book rights I believe which enabled Tom cruise to play the part of Reacher even though in the books he was 6ft 6 muscle man , amazing what money can buy you lol .

Saw it earlier in the week on 70mm IMax. The cinema I went to had one of the Trojan Horses they actually used in the film outside!

But despite the fact that I thought it was an extremely well made film, and thoroughly immersive for its whole three hours…..I actually think I enjoyed it the least amongst all of Nolan’s films.

Probably just knew the story too well from studying it as a kid but other than the little things he changed, it was all fairly by the book and exactly what you might expect. Nothing to really shock or surprise…..

Great film from 2022, with a stellar performance, as always, from Bill Nighy (king of the microexpressions). A film my late father would have absolutely loved, and it really made me feel a range of strong emotions - not so common a trait in this age of cinema. This one will really sit with me, and I'm sure I'll find myself re-watching it from time to time.

Pierce Brosnan, Helen Mirran and Tom Hardy to name a few, so a great cast.
