Girl I'm dating has us watching The boys and White Lotus. They are ok, decent enough script and acting. A Boys ep seems to drag on and I'd struggle to binge either. I'm going into both totally blind having not read imdb so I'm only so sure of what's going on.
How things have changed for the worse.
When I was dating, bloody years ago though sadly, the last thing I’d be doing was watching tele! 😉

The Boys is okay to begin with but jumps the shark pretty quickly and then just tries to shock. White Lotus is excellent.

A couple of the lads on here were recommending Andor. I’m not a Star Wars fan at all but was completely gripped by it.

Years and Years, originally shown on the BBC s few years ago is now on Netflix. A must watch. Going to start watching it again today!

Edit: can't believe it's six years old. It tries to imagine what happens politically, technologically, socially etc in the 2020s. Going to be interesting to compare it with current events.

Just finished watching Monsters : The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story.
Must admit I had never heard of them. Was quite good though.

Anyway the use of Milli Vanilli was excellent.

On that subject there are a couple of Milli Vanilli films I have watched in the last few weeks. First there was a documentary on BBC 2 about them and secondly a film Girl You Know It’s True which I think was on Sky Movies. Both very good especially if you like comparing a film to the real thing.

The Rehearsal on Sky Comedy , not sure why it’s on that channel but twisted, deeply disturbing, ethically unsound, tv you will watch from behind the sofa at times.
I'd recommend pretty much anything by Nathan Fielder if you like your comedy on the dark side. Nathan For You, The Curse. He's also involved with How To With John Wilson.

Just finished Fred and Rose West: A British Horror Story on Netflix. Some incredible footage released from the Police. Really hard watch but also fascinating

Don’t know if you can get Alone Australia, but just finished series 3 and really enjoyed it. S1 was excellent too, if you like that sort of thing.
By coincidence I watched the American version this morning. On season 10 now, I’ve seen 3 or 4 series so far and I’m always amazed how far they’re prepared to tolerate the physical impact on their bodies as time goes on.

There’s a charming aussieness (some kiwiness) about the characters in Alone Australia which I recommend. Especially the 3rd season.

Had some long flights recently and watched some crackers:
Spit - Aussie movie comedy 8/10
The Brutalist - long movie about an immigrant architect in postwar USA - 9/10
Becoming Led Zeppelin - brilliantly produced doco on formation of Led Zeppelin- 10/10 (if you like 60s70s rock)
The Honey Trap - doco about a German rapper who got radicalised by Isis. 8/10
September 6 - docudrama about the Munich olympics terrorist attack. Great attention to detail 7.5/10
One hand clapping - David Lichfield rockumentary in band on the run studio sessions. I’m not a big wings fan, but the vibe and musicianship come over really well. PMcC is about the tightest musician I’ve seen (especially the backyard recordings where he’s doing Elvis and buddy holly covers. 7/10.

I also watched a movie that was so s**t that I wanted to warn people about it, but I can’t find its name by googling the plot so the internet clearly thinks it’s unremarkable.
