Am 3 episodes onto White Lotus. Not entirely hooked just yet, though given the number of people who have been recommending it to me, I'm going to stick with it to see how it goes.
White Lotus was absolutely brilliant, I thought, although very dark and cynical - which series are you on, Sicily or Hawaii?

Hawaii. I enjoy dark and obscure, I've just not yet been hooked. But I can see why people like it.i will stick it out.

Nightsleeper. BBC

Casey Jones meets the Da Vinci Code.

Desperately annoying and compulsive in equal measure.

Agreed. Both gripping and incredibly clunky! The casting is dreadful and the dialogue sounds like it was written by AI. But the idea is good (if not that original) and somehow it keeps you interested. Whether I'll manage to stay the course for all six parts remains to be seen - it could be far too much, stretched beyond it's natural length.

I always wonder: if films can can a fairly complex and exciting story in under two hours, why would this take six? (And don't get me started on the likes of 'Vera', which should be maybe 45minutes rather than 2 hours!)

How did you get on with it in the end?

Also, enjoying The Perfect Couple on Netflix.

I'm a bit of a train buff so enjoying all the geeky stuff they've put into it - although a lot of it is still wrong!

The plot is ludicrous. The dialogue is appalling. But it's still very gripping. I burst into laughter when the credits rolled at the end of episode two and muttered "for fucksake" to myself, which says it all really.

The bit where the lady is on the upper mezzanine of the cyber security centre doling out instructions was ripped off from Paw Patrol - I expected her to finish with "Cyber Security Patrol, is on a roll!"

That's the best Paw Patrol reference since I compared Des to Ryder. (Looks wise)

watched two animated series of star wars inspired cartoon shorts ( Visons) some decent, some ok, some a bit , well ummm!

Now catching up ( watched the first 3 episodes) with watching the ( multi Emmy award winning) Disney + series' of Shogun... rather good so far

The Cleaning lady on Sky witness based on an Argentinian story. Quite compelling to watch

Dropped off it. Other shows came up and we latched onto those, with White Lotus falling by the wayside.

Instead, I've watched The Night Manager (which I enjoyed), Death and Other Details (which was alright, not a must-watch), Rings of Power (to satisfy the once nerdy teen that loved the books), and Only Murders In The Building (because that's always heartwarming fun).

Also, keen for the new series of Bob's Burgers arriving later this month.

Only Murders is fun.

I really struggled with Rings of Power but then (dont shout) I was never a big fan of the books / movies.

I recently caught up with One Piece, and as someone who had reservations about anime, I can safely say that it is the greatest piece fiction Ive ever seen.

To be fair, I'm the same. I know it's an Oxford institution with Tolkien writing two of the LOTR books whilst living in the city, but I find them plodding, and they take themselves far too seriously. We got through the first half of the first episode of Rings of Power before binning it off.

I watched episodes 1-4 last night and aim to complete it tonight.
Think it's got that something which makes me glad I don't have to wait a week to see the next episode, don't often binge watch anything, not got the time, but enjoying this

Could do with a few gags in it.
