I think that we will surprise a few.
NTT20 reckon that 10 teams could go down, so it could be pretty tight in the bottom half.
I reckon around 16th is possible. Anything above that would be excellent ( although I did like Cam's comments that he want to go up to the Premiership)

I reckon 16th assuming another striker and a utility player. Hopefully we can get a few wins early on

I also listened to the NNT20 on YouTube.
It’s there opinion, but lots of info and interesting insights.
Think we’ll be safe

I really hope we stay up. But there's a huge jump from L1 to the Championship. Far greater than from L2 to L1 imo. If we stay up, I'll be thrilled. And slightly surprised. Hope I'm wrong!

I'm encouraged by the summer recruitment.
Some exciting young players with a mix of more experienced.
I have concerns with the pace of Moore and Brown in central defence.
Also we can't go through another season with Harris as our only striker.
I'm sure these issues will be sorted in the remainder of the window.
If so I think we will have a good chance of staying up.
Can't wait for it to start, we need to show our support more than ever this season.

2 out of every 3 teams going up to the Championship stay up.
Last season, all 3 stayed up

Sure there is a big gap, but statistically, this seems to be exaggerated ( there us a far far greater gap between the Championship and PL)

If Des can get the team playing the system he wants then I think we will be alright. I do think we need a few more options up top. Any injury or loss of confidence with Harris will leave us with few alternatives.

In that scenario, I couldn't care less about making friends. Want us to establish ourselves in the Championship.

When we were at this level for most of the nineties of a struggling manager lost to us they got sacked, quite looking forward to being the little side that everyone looks down on again, be nice to be the ones causing the upsets and getting up peoples noses after the conference years of that being in reverse.

I personally think we will surprise a fair few teams and finish clear of the drop. We have done well so far in the transfer window and made some excellent signings with a mixture of championship experience, signing some of the better players from lower down and also signed raw/unknown talent.

My main hope this season is that the commercial part of the club catches up with playing side and starts acting like a championship club. I would say though, that is more in hope than actually thinking it will happen.

A thoroughly enjoyable season with at least 16 League wins as we finish comfortably mid-table.

Really solid home form, scoring well engineered goals and regularly getting results with sub-40% possession. Unearthing two or three big talents in the process.

A few away wins, including a couple of 'I was there' type victories at top half sides in front of sell-out away ends - one of which being West Brom.

Also, a less impressive away victory (in terms of opposition) but even better all-round away day more locally - could be a London club, but instead I'll go with two late goals to come from behind at Ashton Gate (with 2,500 yellows belting out 'who the f"*ck is Liam Manning' at full time).

A League Cup Quarter Final. 5th Round FA Cup.

And an end to any patronising nonsense about Oxford United at this level.

If we sign a couple of decent forwards then comfortably avoiding relegation. If we dont, then certain relegation

I would be amazed if we were not in a relegation battle - so in terms of expectation I expect a battle against relegation and hope we can finish above the line
