Given we’re now in the Championship, what do you feel would really constitute a successful season for you? Are you focused only on survival? Or would anything less than mid-table be a disappointment?

I think it’ll be interesting to see where everyone’s head is at. We’ve spent a long time being ‘big hitters’ in League One, going into most games expecting a win. Where are you adjusting your expectations to (if at all?)

I’m really looking forward to it and think we’ve nearly got the squad to give a great account of ourselves.

If the next few weeks go well off the pitch, I think we’ll stay up and give ourselves a real platform from which to progress.

It's a bit of a free hit in some respects as the press/other fans have generally predicted we'll go down.

Just hope we find a balance between the attacking football we showed for a chunk of last season and the defensive side we showed we were capable of in the play-off semis. Keep our principles and have some exciting moments along the way.

Hope Des gets a fair crack whatever happens and would be delighted if we're not a League One side come next season.

Anywhere above the bottom third will be some achievement.
Important to get the right players in for the right positions, between now and the end of the window. Or we could be in trouble.
Hopefully the off the field pair have their house in order before January.

I think we can stay up, not comfortably but with a bit to spare, but we may not make a lot of friends.

I’m expecting us to be competitive and surprise a few. We will take one or two horrible beatings, I’m sure of that, maybe a couple of 5’s or 6’s somewhere along the way. It will be interesting adjusting to the different mindset us fans are going to have to adopt. For example, a draw next Saturday should be celebrated like a L1 win. There are going to be certain teams where a home point will be a tremendous result, I think it’s fair to say that not once would I have settled for a home draw in L1. On reflection we might have looked a L1 home draw as a good point but there won’t have been many, if any, where you’d go in to it gladly taking a point. I think we will survive, it won’t be without dramas along the way but I think we will manage it with games to spare.

Stay up. Some excitement in the cups a bonus. Ideal would be for that to happen with one or two of our young players shining so we can start trading at a higher level and really consolidate and push on.

I think we will stay up quite comfortably and ahead of derby and pompey COYY'S

I think that we will surprise a few.
NTT20 reckon that 10 teams could go down, so it could be pretty tight in the bottom half.
I reckon around 16th is possible. Anything above that would be excellent ( although I did like Cam's comments that he want to go up to the Premiership)

I reckon 16th assuming another striker and a utility player. Hopefully we can get a few wins early on

I also listened to the NNT20 on YouTube.
It’s there opinion, but lots of info and interesting insights.
Think we’ll be safe

I really hope we stay up. But there's a huge jump from L1 to the Championship. Far greater than from L2 to L1 imo. If we stay up, I'll be thrilled. And slightly surprised. Hope I'm wrong!

I'm encouraged by the summer recruitment.
Some exciting young players with a mix of more experienced.
I have concerns with the pace of Moore and Brown in central defence.
Also we can't go through another season with Harris as our only striker.
I'm sure these issues will be sorted in the remainder of the window.
If so I think we will have a good chance of staying up.
Can't wait for it to start, we need to show our support more than ever this season.

2 out of every 3 teams going up to the Championship stay up.
Last season, all 3 stayed up

Sure there is a big gap, but statistically, this seems to be exaggerated ( there us a far far greater gap between the Championship and PL)

Heart says 15th to 20th.
Head says 21st.
99% of YouTube commentators say 24th.
