The Woodgate sacking has been likely for some time I think. I was chatting to a Boro fan when up in Newcastle and he did not have a high opinion of him. Couldn't spell Bob backwards was how he expressed it.
They have turned to one of the usual suspects in Neil Warnock

Not good imo....he'll want to see his whole squad in training/action

Neil Warnock : 7 mins in on Chris Hughton - “ he’s a good man and a nice person is Chris. He’s not like me and some of the other managers...
he’s a really nice and well thought of person...! ” He also talks about Marcus Browne.

If he ever plays again, certainly not this season and probably not most of next.
I think most of next is unnecessarily pessimistic. If he does play again and the surgery goes well then he could be back in training in 6-7 months. Certainly he could be back playing in September/October if he’s lucky

Let's hope so for his sake.
