It follows a pretty long tradition of western countries trying to implement western values on countries many of whom have quite literally never been functioning democracies and have been run on fundamentalist religious lines for century after century.

Iran's nuclear capabilities do worry me - but like you say Irans regime will have tentacles all over Europe.

It's lucky the UK has a robust immigration policy with no chance of letting people will extreme ideas through the net.

I thought your mob were in favour of the action? And it will of course provide a wonderful opportunity to give SKS some grief when inflation increases.
 
I’m not in favour as @Essexyellows states petrol and other goods will go up in price.
Did something need to be done in Iran? Yes of course. Trump is warmongering, Netanyahu he won’t need an excuse to commit war against an Arab nation.
Starmer is reasonably quiet at the moment over this action but he ought to keep his nose out as it’s nothing to do with us until British citizens or military are attacked.
Obviously at British bases in that neck of the woods will raise their security to Bikini Red but as a precaution.
I do however feel the Iranians who have now lost Ayatollah Ali Khamenei will commit Terrorist atrocities around the world which has to be worrying.
 
Loads of people die or are displaced. Already sky high energy prices rise hitting the poorest + businesses who actually make things worst of all. Unproductive investments like gold skyrocket. Domino effect on just about everything means inflation starts rising again. Interest rates rise (or don't and further fuel inflation). Essex misses his pond. Cheers Don

He also needs an "emergency" to put on place planned emergency powers for the midterms and the next election. Plans to make the entire electorate re-register in person at regional sites that need to be driven to. Postal ballots have to be countersigned by an approved notary. And troops at polling stations checking ID.
He also needs to distract again from Epstein.

He is getting kickback from his base though, as he did campaign twice on non-involvement in foreign wars and specifically said he could negotiate a deal with Iran (and solve the Ukraine situation "in a day" - admittedly didn't say which day).

Nope not me, my idea of intervention in that area is to leave them well alone and let them carry on killing each other and their own citizens.

Even if one side wants to kill a few in a different country in the region leave them too it.

The West keep trying to implement "Western Values" on ideological religious extremists and it doesn`t work.

All that happens is that the strong leader that kept whichever country in check is taken out, there is a vacuum created that is often filled by someone far worse and more extreme.

The other option is turning 80% of the area into glass with some very big bangs.

The average Tomahawk missile carries around 10-15oz of silver - £70 an ounce thats £700 - £1000 right there if you find it. :)

Poor attempt at being the forum troll. You need to be more subtle if you are going to try to get some bites. Look at the work of @Basham Wonderland, that's how you should be doing it. Subtle, intelligent, can't tell if he's being serious or throwing stones into the lake to watch the ripples. Just coming out all aggressive with your windup attempts isn't going to cut it.
