And he only did that for two seasons as a scholar, so it's not like he came through the ranks from eight years old in a Sam Long stylee

He joined from Reading Academy as an u14 (https://www.oufc.co.uk/player/91). Was playing for the Youth team as a 15 year old iirc and a regular by the age of 16. Remember him playing in the same team as Kyran Lofthouse, Leon Chambers-Parillon etc when they played home games at Abingdon United and he stood out then as having something extra compared to others.

Oops, my mistake

Play him in the 10 behind Lankshear & let him have a free role. Encourage him to take on players even if it means giving the ball away. Encourage him to have shots 20-25 yards out. When he loses the ball, ask him to try and win it back as fast as possible. It’s really that simple with Tyler.

Then play width either side of him & Lankshear. Mills on the right. Placheta on the left.

I’m Craig Short

Goodrham likely to be out for some time according to The Dub / Craig Short. Ankle injury combined with knee injury
Crap news, ( poor referees appear to allow some really nasty challenges go unpunished- something the FA - and maybe EFL too- should address? ), my youngest granddaughter wont be too pleased either, TG is her favourite player

Arguably already replaced with Donley and none of the loans yet sent back. But it is a shame as he was just starting to look his old self again and I suspect a manager with any forward thinking appetite would’ve been keen to work with him.

We knew we needed players anyway, but we don’t need injuries to make that any more urgent.

I think it was Egeli for them wasn't it that did for Tyler? I seem to recall he left one on Ciaron Brown earlier in the game..unpunished..I though he was a dirty little so& so.

So Goodrham will miss the rest of the season due to a nasty challenge by Egeli which went unpunished. IIRC, he went in late on Ciaron Brown just before his assault on Tyler....

This is why I advocate a citing law, similar to what they have in rugby.

Add in the challenge on Donley when somehow the opposition player escaped any punishment. Rugby takes a dim view of a challenge that causes players to land as Donley did yet football 'shrugs shoulders' (however kick somebody on the shin......). Football is so far behind on things like this.

The annoying thing is Egeli had done Tyler three times and the rest ref didn’t go anything other than talk to him yet after Tyler went off Egeli did someone else gets booked and then he got subbed dirty bastard

Bloody rotten luck for Tyler. A lacklustre start to the season out of position, dropped with no valid explanation, put back in suddenly, plays himself back into form and scores a screamer on Boxing Day, to now out for the season. Hope he can come back firing in August.
