I’m sure we got the maximum we could for Dickie and did the best deal at the time. No point bitching or pretending you would have done better.

Well I assume that given the fact he is club captain and a coach at the club, he would choose to play here if given the chance? It’s selfish because he took up a space in the squad last year, and never played. That place could have gone to a youth prospect, or another signing that is able to play. It will be the same case this season coming, and we cannot afford to carry any dead wood.

Any youth prospect could have played at any point regardless of who was or wasn't in the squad. (Covid mitigation excepted)

I must say it's a bit much when my scum supporting postie asks if we are selling Jack Stevens to Newcastle Utd.

We're not, are we?

Crawleys left back is fairly good going forward. Nick Tsaroulla. A product of Spurs academy.
Not suggesting he is a target, but looks a good player from what I have seen in a poor Crawley team.

How can you be sure of that though? Were you involved in the deal, or do you think that every selling club constantly gets the best possible deal, all of the time? Surely sometimes teams get the best possible deal, sometimes they could have got a better deal and sometimes players are sold for an absolute steal?

It also depends on how desperate the selling club are for finances, and when we sold Dickie I don’t think we were that desperate.

Ha, I’ve got no idea. But I doubt twonks off the Internet could have helped matters. Possibly bigger clubs employ more business people who specialise in negotiations.

Sure, win some lose some, its par for the course that we will pick up some dudds once in a while, i would rather we loaned him out at
a loss and take the hit than try to make the best of a bad situation that could cost points. If we are trying to build a promotion
winning side he is not good enough to be a back up CM, DM, RB.. Too slow, gets caught out of position too often ( especially at RB )
and has a tendency to gift the oppo the ball when we are on the front foot, plus i don`t think he is high energy enough for a KR side.

He had a great opportunity to impress and stake a claim during that recent injury crisis and imo he failed to step up, that was this
season, next season if he is back up RB and Long gets injured for lets say 2 months, would people be confident that Hanson could
do a job replacing him ?

Nothing personal here, i`m just talking about his football ability even if he does look a bit like Sam Tarly after the diet drom hell.
Joking aside i would be delighted if he proved me wrong.

Well, that had just had to happen.... The gods of football have a fkd up sense of humour thats for sure.

Not great news this and pressuming he gets the nod ahead of Forde at least he is going into a side that
is in good form and high on confidence, so lets see if he makes the best of this latest opportunity.

As mentioned i would be delighted if he proved me wrong, IF we get promoted i will happily change my
profile pic to one of him (and for the whole of next season) as punishment for talking crap.
