Transfer News Transfer window 2020/21

A different name from the one I heard but agree he'd be a very good signing. If we lost out on Whyte due to wages though, I can't see this one happening.
I’m sure a free agent that’s earning 0p would be happy to go from that, to whatever we could offer him haha. If we’re up against Norwich, as reported, we’ll be blown out of the water. What name have you heard mate?

Don’t know how credible it is but would certainly be a good signing and someone who could fill the shoes of Atkinson in a season or twos time

Assuming - obviously - that he's any good, this sort of signing would be ideal.

Someone who could be a major asset in the future, probably wouldn't gripe too much if he didn't start right away (we shouldn't be breaking up the back four right now) but has at least some professional experience so could step in and play if we have a major defensive injury.

That being said, looks like a tussle for his signature.......

If we can get him, then it should leave some more available under the salary cap as I can't imagine he'd be on what Mous is.

According to fans in that league, he is a “top top top player that’s destined for great things” - How that will translate when in league one is yet to be seen but he is well thought of. Always a good start.

Depends - if KR saw no real role for him this season and he gets a lot of match time at Burton/we get some of his wages paid then it does actually make sense.
Said it previously, he would have got plenty of minutes here as practically every time he came on as a sub he influenced games for the better, having pace and being direct, surely even KR saw that. No point in having a decent forward player out on loan at a team near the bottom, probably getting beat most weeks, especially if we don't fill the squad positions.

Finance reasons you could well be right.

It was entirely finance reasons.

It was not - there is money available for the right player(s) at a sensible price/wage and there is plenty of headroom in the salary cap because we signed up a lot of our higher earners e.g. CamBran, Taylor prior to the deadline so they are treated as earning the average L1 salary.

Interested to see what standard the right players are then that we bring in. It seems we cant afford the caddens / whytes of this world.

And who are the other clubs Swindon, Ipswich, Portsmouth or Hull they’ve been our opponents so far for players.
