Transfer targets?

Woeful!

The thing is we all knew this in the summer, so if we could see this, why couldn’t the management... Alarming really.

Just don't look at Godden and Kieffer Moore!

All of our threat is the 3 behind the striker...in the current system a lone striker is largely redundant.

Here is our entire shot map:

All those attempts from 25/30 yards. Deary me

I'm not sure that follows. For example I'm sure KR would nasally ejaculate that the lone striker is enabling the other 3 with his hold-up play, movement off the ball and threat. Somebody else will post that soon, and, mad as it sounds that would be one of KRs more believable whines.

Crazy world.

Sorry, largely redundant from a goal threat/shot perspective.

I sypathise with Smith. Against Walsall we persisted with crossing in the air when surely on the floor would be the sensible choice.

I think giving Smith a run of 3/4 games would be the correct call, however I think Obika will start Vs Wimbledon this weekend so he can wrestle with the CBs

Only believable if it is actually happening!!

Do the people saying KR is responsible for not getting deals done know that for sure? I'm not an expert, but having the manager in control of contract negotiations seems strange.

I mean, a striker in January would be nice. The culmination of shots from Obika and Smith this year, so far:

Triangle = goal
Size of circle = quality of chance

Obika:

Smith:

I make that 13 shots from our predominant strikers in 9 games
Who is the guy that has the black spot? - only one difficult chance per game but would still hope for better!!

Where is that from? Looks incorrect to me as can clearly remember Smith against Burton cutting in from the right and having a shot saved from outside the box before Henry scored the rebound?

He looks an excellent player.
He will probably get recalled by Bournemouth and be on their bench before too long

Darren Bent is still available - would surely be an improvement on what we have.

GLENAVON midfielder Mark Sykes is being linked with a move to Oxford United.
Speculation continues to mount over the future of the 21-year-old who remains on the radar of a number of clubs across the water.
The latest club believed to be interested is English League One outfit Oxford.
The Us were one of a number of clubs to have watched Sykes score for Northern Ireland Under 21s in their recent Euro qualifying win over Slovakia at Windsor Park.

And with Whyte here (they are also mates), he can see how quick a career can take off by making the move

Heard good things about this lad, not sure where he fits into the side as a number 10 though

Sure that Whyte has told him how he came to Oxford as a prospective young player and has played himself into the team as a regular and into a goalscoring national player. Nobody should come to Oxford as a young player and fear they won't get the minutes. If they show promise, KR will play them (playing youth is one of KR's strengths, after all).
