I feel sorry for the tracing staff. They'll have to get used to being told to 'f**k off'.
its very bizarre, if i have a positive result for Covid, i give them the contact details of all the people i have been in close contact - they then phone them telling them to self isolate for 14 days.
1) why wouldn't i just tell the people (instead of passing THEIR details to effectively a 3rd party)
2) if im contacted, how do you confirm its genuine?
3) if contacted - you have to self isolate but members of your household are fine to go out etc...

Anyone can download the app that was being trialled on the IoW - things have gone very quiet which suggests its functionality was less than expected.
but that doesn't add up with the bit about people in your house hold not having to self isolateI assume because they will then see who they were in close contact with and also call them, so will be taking to at least a stage further then you just calling round those you have been near.

The info is obviously clear to everyone, then. Phew - won’t be a disaster.
Well fingers crossed the tracers doing the contacting are clear with their instructions!!!

i believe it mentioned you would have to be within 1-2 meter contact for approx 15mins (continuous) or more to be required to self isolateAnyway, I live in a terrace where the next door neighbours had a family bbq last week, so would I be flagged as being in close proximity if one of them gets it? and then have to isolate?
This all seems very clumsy for a process that has been held up as the biggest step forward in fighting the virus.its very bizarre, if i have a positive result for Covid, i give them the contact details of all the people i have been in close contact - they then phone them telling them to self isolate for 14 days.
