National News Conservative Party

Does anyone seriously think that furlough was something that the tories chose to do. Can anyone suggest how else you could have got companies and swathes of people not to work.

If there was no furlough there would have been civil war.

It is naive in the extreme to call that a Tory win in a pandemic.

Everything that they take credit for will forever be stained with their swindling ( Matt Hancock doing deals in the pub, Reece mog part owner of excell aka nightingale hospital, David Cameron’s cozying up etc etc……)They are crooks, they are charlatans. They are white collar criminals, who will give the country’s Crown Jewels to the highest (Russian preferably) bidder.

Bankrupt Slough Borough Council spent £28k on HQ's plants https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-berkshire-61617295

Just goes to show that at every level in every party there will always be total stupidity when it comes to spending tax payers money.

Will they never learn 🤷🏼‍♂️

One could say they are "all as bad as each other".................... we just pick the least worst option based on our personal ideologies..........

I don’t think any other government or opposition from the history of our parliament has reach the depths of depravity achieved by Boris’s government.

When people decide they want politicians who work for the people not their paymasters who want to rip off the public purse we might start to mend this country.

It's hardly a new or unknown thing and has gone on for centuries! :ROFLMAO:

Politicians of all parties often jump from the gravy train and land face first in the trough of a cushy job/directorship or in some cases end up on a vacuous EU junket.

The upward spike in "treatable deaths" post 2012 (and pre-Covid) is pretty shameful.
From the article............

"The authors speculated that the higher mortality might be due to private companies " ..............it could also be due to patients having more complex clinical problems.

During Covid, a lot of routine work was also outsourced, because the financial penalties for missing targets are weighted such that it works out better value to pay a private hospital to do the work.

That is one of the many problems the NHS faces, free at the point of delivery works pretty well but then "what happens next" becomes far more complex. 🤷‍♀️

These are a government construct so 'value for money' doesn't come into it! The penalties are kept within the public purse. You've been duped again mate.

It wasn't a comment directly (from me) about private companies more the change directly corresponding to the Tory Health & Social Care BIll.

Tory governments running your services.... into the ground.

BBC News - Quarter of GP posts vacant within a decade in England, study warns

So, apart from rampant inflation, lack of doctors and police, rising Covid numbers (with no way to track them as the tracking seems to have been abandoned) and a large number of dead, erosion of our civil liberties, dilution of standards in public life, croneyism and corruption, an economically failed 'oven-ready' Brexit leading to the breaking of international treaties, selling off bits of the NHS and other areas having huge waiting times for both urgent and non-urgent treatment, trying to modify our acceptance of the European Court of Human Rights (which was proposed and enabled by that old Leftie Winston Churchill to stop exactly this kind of creeping nationalism), the promotion of opinion over expertise, increasing industrial unrest, Northern Ireland, Scotland trying to leave again, dodgy immigration resettlement policies, backbench rebellions, party chairmen and ethics advisors resigning, censorship of the 'free press' and (against all this) an opposition about as effective as a wet paper bag ...

... it's all going very well.
