Great signing- sounded like a very decent bloke as well. He's an 'old pro' in the best sense of the word. I am expecting a Championship Jamie Mackie, but hopefully still able to sprint. Assume that means the end of the Al Hamadi chat? We now have four forwards- Scarlett (never really rated him, but hey-ho), Harris, Romeny and Bradshaw.

Excellent work by the club - bringing in an established championship striker with a decent pedigree (scored 17 league goals in the season before last) who GR knows well. Most importantly, he doesn’t have much of an injury history by the looks of things as the best attribute a player can have is availability!

Plus the Millwall fans are all saying he works bloody hard for the team, which sounds very promising.

Does anyone know his style of play, is he a target man who can win headers and bring people into play etc?

Welcome to the club and hope you smash in goals aplenty for us Tom!

Feels like a positive signing, albeit he’ll be 33 in the summer.

Championship experience on and off the pitch. If he helps us retain our place in the Championship for next season and beyond then it’s money well spent.

Very much a Rowett signing.

Welcome aboard Tom, hope your time at OUFC is successful and enjoyable.

According to the Millwall video on page 87 of the transfer thread he is a poacher (2 minutes into The Den Daily YouTube video posted by Orkney Islands Yellow). Also speculates a fee of £150K.

Bit of an odd video though, ends with Bradshaw chucking a shirt at the camera??

It's probably important we analyse that video footage, as is the done thing nowadays.

My initial thoughts based on that video:

He sees the space in the middle of the pitch and drifts in there unnoticed - good movement.

That said, bit of a lack of pace to get there. Millwall fans say his legs have gone so a bit of a worry.

I don't like the way the shirt was disrespected. Jamie Mackie doesn't do that. Hopefully he learns to play for it.

I'm not a beard kind of guy but I respect his is a good effort. We don't have a lot of facial hair up front at the moment so it's nice to have options.

If he can muster a good throaty growl at set pieces, would be good!

Scarlett should really go back to spurs

Agree- I will eat my toenails if he ever makes a PL player- looks like L1 to me. Can finish, but not particularly quick and his work-rate is best described as intermittent. I also hope he's sent back tbh, but sounds unlikely.

I’ve just checked the Millwall forum, expecting them to give him pelters. Fair play to them, they all wish him well, was a good player for them and said he always ran himself into the ground for the team. What I did notice was that they reckon he’d have scored even more if he’d been partnered up top instead of being the lone striker. Gary…. Go on.

He sounds a little like Matty Taylor

Scarlett will stay as our back-up back-up unfortunately.
I can’t reach my toenails.
