What a t**t, they were thrown out for fielding two ineligible players. Ollie Clarke started the match while he was already serving a suspension and Aaron Drinan was used as a substitute despite not appearing on the teamsheet.

It would certainly set a precedent had they got away with fielding two ineligible players, would have seen teams playing banned players, players who were not signed before deadlines etc and claiming as its an admin error they shouldn't be punished just like the scum. You do wonder in what world they ever thought they were not going to be thrown out when it came to light, was only ever one outcome.

This must be the first case of a club complaining about being kicked out of a competition for playing someone banned for being a pervert (plus another unregistered player)? I have a feeling it will be the last as well, they really are a scummy little club, if you were normal you would just take it and keep quiet out of shame for the mess that it is.

What I don’t get is why Plymouth have been allowed to request a change of date for the fixture. They were always meant to play the game so if Luton are happy to play it on that date then the EFL shouldn’t move it.

They have to arrange and sell away tickets from Luton also they have to change their travel arrangements etc.

Given they would have less than a week to sort out the logistics, it doesn't seem that outlandish as a request.

Edit: Based on estimated distance, for them that is the equivalent of us having a match in York being replaced with Newcastle
