League One Tinpot Reading

Their Academy has served them very well. Half the team or more looks like its made up of academy players. Pretty impressive.

Guess though that the stream of players may dry up if funding is cut to that part of the club.

If it was anyone else than Reading (or Swindon) I would have some sympathy.

After how their fans gave it the huge one year after year, absolutely f**k em.

The game does desperately need a regulator to stop this happening, hopefully Reading are the last club this happens to, but that they get properly screwed over.

Lots of admiration hear for the work of Mr Yongge.

Never good to see this sort of charlatan management, even if it is a rival. Hope this is resolved.

Considering all the problems they have off the pitch, Reading are up to 7th now after last night’s win at in-form Exeter.

They have a good manager in Ruben Selles.

They had, and may still have, a top or second level academy which has helped them through this. For a skint club been no real fire sale of that young talent either, we would take a couple of them if we could.

The Olise sale proceeds are keeping them going at the moment, I know they hadn’t paid at least one bill pre that though so be interesting to see what happens if they don’t get sold before that money runs out.

Reading owner sued for £10m by ex-EFL chief after takeover bid collapsed despite lending League One side £5m

Who will go bust first out of Reading and Swindon? Maybe they could merge.
