Just an idea.......
How many times have you watched Oxford games from the "wrong end" and why?
Chelsea (Stamford Bridge) - Ban on away fans.
Luton (Kenilworth) - 1 x Ban on away fans & 1 x sold out.
Wycombe (Awful Park) - 1 x sold out and 1 x Thrown out so walked around and paid again.
Bolton (at the Manor) - arrived late, LRT "full", watched from the Cuckoo Lane.
Bolton (Away) - Free "Home" Box.
Anyone else?

Once at Rushden - friend worked for the printer who did their programmes, free box, free food, free beer. But I hated it! (Being in a box rather than the free beer!)
Once from the Cuckoo Lane end - same friend - a Sunderland supporter - bought tickets for an Oxford v Sunderland game for us. It never even crossed my mind that he would buy them in the away end! Got a few funny looks when we scored and I was the only one jumping up and down - couldn't restrain myself - but they were actually fine about it.

Watford away, when we won 1-0 thanks to Mickey Lewis. Brother was in the Watford youth team at the time and got us tickets in the home seats. Of course Dad and I were up on our feet when Mad Dog slotted the ball home. A lot of stern looks, good job the Watford lot were pretty friendly really.

sat with my brother and nephew in pompey end and when Bowery scored nearly jumped up to celebrate. luckily my nephew stopped me.
was horrible experience sat there with people around me shouting abuse at our players. never again

Almost 50 (in 58 years as a U's supporter).... won't list them all (too many to be arsed to type)...close to half of that amount because away tickets sold out, at some of them (sometime back now) I was ejected & paid again & went in the home end/area, the others went to the game with a few acquaintances/friends who were/are supporters of the home side (once or twice I've returned the 'favour' too)

It can be a weird experience hearing comments slagging off your team, as well as keeping emotions in check when goals go in and decisions go against the U's

And yes, I have been in home areas at Wycombe, and at the Skip (among others)

Early seventies in the Town End at Swindon, when we took it. Twice.
Oxford United's away support, always took the Town end, and in the 70s, 'took' quite a few away ends ?.... a very different era compared to these more corperate and sanitised times ( for me the 70s' were 'fun' times, and Ive lots of memories of a misspent youth- not all I might add are football related ? )

Away at Middlesbrough, the old ayresome park, I asked a copper where was the best place to sit, , ended up behind a pillar, lost 1-0 Burton played a blinder, I had gone with my parents to Leeds for Easter to see grandparents , I went to see utd, dad went to Leland road with his brother’s, Leeds lost 4-1 to Burnley!

I've a few but the standout was the 1-0 win over Everton (Les Phillips). Travelled back from uni for the match, Oxford end was all ticket and sold out, paid cash(!) to go in the Cuckoo Lane end with the Everton fans. Watched Lineker miss a couple of sitters and just about managed to keep quiet when we scored! More recently I was in the home end at Wimbledon as a mate had a spare ticket.

Cuckoo Lane Vs Carlisle. A weird experience but we won comfortably iirc. I do remember it was a nice day so sat in t-shirts enjoying the sun whilst watching the game.

The Sunday morning match at filbert st, not sure how we managed to make the mistake but soon asked to get out, Maine rd, it was so cheap we thought it must be the away end, it wasn’t, and sixfields, did that on purpose, couldn’t help jumping up and cheering when we scored, and giving them loads of s**t as the stewards ‘escorted ‘ me out.

Midweek match Bristol City. Living in Bristol at the time. All ticket away end so sat in main stand. Won 1-0 and managed to sit on hands with big grin on my face.

Cuckoo Lane against Arsenal in the 80s. Their was about 20 oxford in there. Think it was last game of the season as there was a lap of honour at the end. Billy Hamilton scored that day. If you can help?

Away at Wimbledon and I would happily do it again to get a decent view of the pitch than suffer the away stand. We won comfortably 3-0 and I restrained myself until Tom Craddock netted our third and I did a more-obvious-than-I-thought fist pump. Only one old man seemed to notice. I think Beano may have been sent off that day too … ?

Brentford away last year too. Had watched as a neutral there some years previous so bought tickets close to the ‘away’ fans. Like Wimbledon, Brentford are a passive bunch so even if we had looked like scoring at all, I don’t think any of them would have been bothered.

Are we counting being in the ‘away’ end at Oxford City, Thame United etc too?!

Arsenal home and away 1985/6 with family
Charlton away 2nd game back at Valley, got tkt in pub sussed out and when they equalised a few mins left jumped on and wished a Merry X'mas!!
Wyc away in FACup
Watford away 85 with mates who support them.

Cheltenham,Wycombe,Northampton and Slovakia with England of which was a very uncomfortable 90 mins .
