I only have one which goes back some years, CDC despite repeated FOIs stalled me on the figures, I did manage to get a copy of a spreadsheet which showed then it was circa 18.5k can't remember the year It was for though I'd have seen if I have an old file. The year was probably 2915/16 but not sure. GAB ran the bar and had the income and risks with that at the time. I haven't really looked at what's going on now apart that I noticed the coat to KTC and GAWE have escalated dramatically by the looks of it.@Frustrated Yellow
Would you know how much the rugby pay now to use sb?
It seem ktc want to charge them £25k pa to use it

I found the files, that income was for 2022/23Ah I just read that clerks report, so they are looking to charge GAB 4k for the bar. I got the popcorn out on all of this but from my ageing memory the council used to run the bar but could not make it work because you have to employ people and as with all of their current proposals this is where it will fall down The rugby ran the bar with volunteers I understand, so can make it pay, and being rugby it's part of the culture so they want a bar IMO. I said somewhere else KTC has no corporate memory now so they are heading down paths which have failed before but because they have no memory they don't know. The current bunch since they took over seven and half years ago took no interest in the brake at all until oufc came along. There were no meetings, reports were not being produced, totally leaving it to the CDC team. It's interesting also they seem to be having difficulty getting information from CDC from my observation.![]()
The Rugby club use to run the bar in the winter months and cricket in the summer both using volunteers this may have changed the council use to get the takings from the bar. In return both clubs got a reduced rental costs for use of Stratford Brake when KPC last had control of Stratford Brake.Ah I just read that clerks report, so they are looking to charge GAB 4k for the bar. I thought it changed when CDC started running it after that private company ran it at great expense, I'm probably wrong, but I do know the cricket seemed to pay little compared to the rugby and a lot of time seemed to be spent on the cricket pitch by the contractor compared to football and rugby pitches. I know the CC was still not happy with the pitches even then. It was very difficult to get figures out of CDC, I did get some in the end but because there had been such a lack of vigilance by the council until 2023 there was very little info, was just starting to get some things of the ground and learn but then decided to jack it in. Just getting blocked so waste of my time. Didn't KPC last run it around 2017?The Rugby club use to run the bar in the winter months and cricket in the summer both using volunteers this may have changed the council use to get the takings from the bar. To get anything out of cdc in a foi you have to get the wording of the foi absolutely spot on so there is no wriggle room to get out of itI thought it changed when CDC started running it after that private company ran it at great expense, I'm probably wrong, but I do know the cricket seemed to pay little compared to the rugby and a lot of time seemed to be spent on the cricket pitch by the contractor compared to football and rugby pitches.
