New Stadium The Triangle - Planning (S106 Agreed)

Ah ok thank you.
Time goes slowly .....
Totally agree @Foley those 42 days waiting to see if FoSB were going to put in for a JR dragged by especially as they( mistakenly)left it until day 42 and now we may have a similar wait to see what the judge decides. Plus the anguish of us fighting for survival.

In the words of Scotty on Star Trek “ I canna take any more”

The Fail are using Middleton and the oufc community to get clicks firstly they ask Middleton for comments on the Stadium he can't help him self so makes he's usual daft comments the Fail publish and oufc supporters respond it's easy clicks.

Its highly unlikely that anything will be made public until afterwards unless its leaked out

I will give them a bell on possibly tomorrow more likely Friday and see what information I can get out of them

I gave them a call not much to say as I thought

The paper doesn't ask anyone anything. They have "bots" that crawl the web and pull text from sites. If there are sufficient similar hits, then software will craft an article containing "quotes" lifted from the Internet.

A "reporter" will check the article for grammar and legality, but he will not alter the content before it is published.

That's journalism today....

Just shows their cynical and vendetta-like behaviour of FoSB. They're full of hatred towards us and OUFC and just wish to annoy now.

For that reason alone it should be thrown out and then action should be taken against FoSB members and donors and the councillors who support them for wasting court time.

Makes you wonder why IM isn't complaining himself here if this really is just some auto-generated piece pulled together from various sources? He's getting dogs abuse in the comments sections seemingly because the OM know creating a contentious article with his name on it around this subject will get them clicks/engagement.

I'm sure he's more than happy with the exposure and notoriety, but it's a pretty shoddy business model.

It’s so sad about the oxmail. It doesn’t need to be that way. Here in Perth we have a local paper that does decent journalism on local stories (local as in handful of suburbs) and even does some half-decent investigative stuff sometimes. Way better than the national or statewide papers which are owned by the big guys. I’m pretty sure it gets no subsidy so the ad revenue must be enough. What it probably takes is not getting bought out by a conglomerate that just wants to asset strip and extract maximum revenue rather than caring about the actual product. The oxmail seems like Thatcher’s Britain in perfection.

Ian Middleton is one of those weak clowns who hide behind publications where they can make statements of nonsense and not be held directly to account. He would never participate in a local debate especially against the stadium because he knows he will be torn to shreds and humiliated. Virtually every comment he made on OM articles were nuked by Newsquest mods alone for sheer disinformation but baseline articles is what gives them clicks so those typically stick even if riddled with lies. Sadly clicks over credibility is what keeps these media rags in business and the likes of Middleton is able to prey on such things because his utter drivel tends to generate county-wide backlash.

If the OM wet actually positive about the club and its community impact then it would make far more money. Defies belief that so many journalistic entities always pander to irrelevant lefties.

No doubt Middleton is scouting the electoral register for the names of those who have left comments he doesn't like. He's got form, remember

can someone please explain the issue with Ian and Fiona (his wife) supporting Amanda Carpenter and her connection with Environmental Law Foundation/impending election?

Surely a professional, upstanding councillor would resort to doing something like that? Otherwise they would be kicked out, wouldn’t they?

Might well be completely innocent and a complete coincidence that fosb used environmental law foundation(ELF) to give them legal advice and a trustee of ELF just happens to live local(ish) and know ian middleton and fiona mawson who are absolutely no way anything to do with fosb just a complete accident

Amanda Carpenter has donated to Fiona Mawson's GoFundMe page too

Environmental Law Foundation have been advising FoSB throughout this process

Amanda Carpenter isn't just connected to ELF, she's a trustee.

Trying to get her elected is an anti-stadium play and demonstrates further still that Kidlington Parish/Town Council have no intention of working with OUFC for the good of Kidlington, Cherwell or Oxfordshire.

ELF are a charity. FoSB have shown from recent fundraising that they can easily get access to funds and were not, in fact, destitute and in need of charity. The connection between the people makes the charity's supporting of FoSB look suspicious and corrupt.

Sorry, but I’m still missing what the issue is?

Is it that Ian and Fiona portray that they are not connected to FoSB (which we obviously know they are)?

And they’ve tried to obtain support from a charity founded organisation who support people with low income/funds?

Matt Simpson is rattled

Another kid journalist who hasn't a clue and is visibly rattled. The funniest thing was all the biased reporting that was done by the Oxford Mail in the past three years was primarily about things that were overwhelmingly rejected, or outed as lies which proved the fans right and saw the stadium near-unanimously approved. There was next to no stories about the positive aspects of the project despite so many being identified, from community, to commercial, environmental and charity.

If journalism wasn't in the gutter nationally and this was 10+ years ago, the paper would be expected to make a formal apology for peddling such nonsense but as it's all about clicks over credibility, it's brushed under the carpet.
