Not sure this has been mentioned yet. Apologies if so, but thought this was quite exciting to see.

Ask your self this

Most campaigns like this to show the strength of feeling of local residents you would set up a petition

Why wasn't there one

I highly suspect that the vast majority of money donated towards a Judicial Review will be from residents of North Oxford, Jericho, etc and NOT from Kidlington.

FOSB does NOT speak for the people of Kidlington, apart from their own personal self promotion they represent the North Oxford University employed set.

Yep a strange choice North Oxford, to relocate a working class roots sport. From the east of the city, to the upper class area... Anyone that knows Oxford, knows that wouldn't sit well & never probably will. Yes & before anyone says, I know we've got to move...

I would say it’s the perfect choice, a stadium situated right next to a train station and excellent park and ride availability, just because the north Oxford snobs do not want it makes it doesn’t make it ‘strange’, they need to realise Oxford is for everyone, not just those with a nice bank balance.

Yes I know that, but history, I'm afraid don't change.
From 5 mile drive , Cultleslowe & Wolvercote rouderbouts . Along the Banbury & Woodstock roads in to Town is a different ball game, to the rest of Oxford. Just look at the history of the Cultleslowe Walls says all you need to know about that area.
Things don't change , that certain area still suffers from the same discrimination, such as resurfacing the private side of the roads and stopping smack bang on the council side of the same road. Shocking in my opinion.

I’m afraid they are going to have to suck it up, like i said, all parts of Oxford should be for everyone, if they don’t like it then that’s their problem, I couldn’t care less, the stadium is happening wether they like it or not.

It's totally a perfect choice. Football is a family sport these days, and OUFC are a brilliant family club. The snobs in North Oxford are the strange people.

Most of them moved to Oxford to work at the University, so if they don't like it they can move somewhere else. We will not be bullied by these incomers.

North Oxford is home to one of the most highly regarded youth football clubs in the shape of Summertown Stars however. Although I'm aware that a certain resident of Harbord Road doesn't like parents parking nearby to their home.

100% agree- on both points

As someone who grew up in Jericho, it saddens me that my old patch is populated by such selfish snobs these days.

You have to wonder what their motivation is for parting with such huge sums of money goven the distance of those areas to the stadium?

All KPC, FoSB and the anti-stadium councillors have succeeding in doing so far is to start a class war.

The thousands of new homes being built around the area, won't be for local working classes either. It'll be for the science lab workers & commuter's using parkway to London....
You've only got to look at Summertown shopping area , compared to Headington, Cowley Centre & Cowley Road to see the difference..

Yes & that's what's wrong with that area people like that. I know all areas have them , it's just there's more there. Margo, off the Good Life comes to mind😉😂

If that's one person's donation of 7& half grand, that's some serious rich person to blow on nothing...
Oh how the other half live.
Some people in Oxfordshire can't even afford a loaf of bread & a pint of milk. Relying on food banks & top ups from family credit. Makes me sick to the pit of my stomach, just to stop a football stadium 😡😡🤬🤬🤬🤬😤😤😤

Margo is far more cheery than McIvor though

Try and catch a word with the leaflet dropper if you can!
The young lady who delivered mine was gone before I could open the door, otherwise I'd have had a friendly chat.

How many shopping parades have a ‘Wealth Management’ branch, like Summertown does?

Look at that photo, the blue plaque on the council side of the wall. Absolutely unbelievable they stopped resurfacing smack bang on the line . Shocking .. Snobs!!!!!!!
