A Worthy Cause To Donate To

Let’s demonstrate again how Oxford fans will do more for Kidlington than FoSB ever will.

Good luck getting £50k its taken you 4 years to raise £4615!!

Your lawyers are still just advising you on possible grounds sounds to me like the they are actually struggling to find one
Also hasn’t it been made clear the date of the final signing of the S106 is week commencing 23/2 so no delay whatsoever. They are so good at misleading people.having had years of practice.

State of these comments on the Banbury Guardian Facebook post.

Weren't the projections that even in L1 the stadium would only take an additional 5 years to pay off compared to the Championship?

L1 will be dross again for a little bit, but even IF we go down, the stadium increases our actual ability to spend and come back up. Regardless of whether that's with Thohir at the helm or some mystical yank owner coming in, the amount of fans missing the bigger picture after the years and years we've spent waiting for this is genuinely concerning.

It is very concerning. It's the kind of short term thinking that makes clubs go into administration and we were bloody close to that during the end of the Merry days.

A new stadium means we control our destiny. We can make more money. We can invest in a squad that will compete. We can have a stadium we are proud to go to every match day instead of the rigmarole of trudging to Grenoble Road on matchdays to a soulless three sided dump.

The last half sentence I agree 100% on and find it staggering that they still don’t understand the importance of us having the new ground.

Wonder if they will go cap in hand to the Environmental Law Foundation?
FoSB have previously used Leigh Day as their legal "muscle". A pre-action letter was sent to OCC claiming that the consultation over the move to the Triangle was unlawful because it “failed to provide sufficient information” to the public.

No response to the letter was ever published, so we can only assume that the legal rebuttal was such that Leigh Day concluded that there would be little to no chance of a JR being allowed.

No reference to any changes made to the Triangle development proposals attributed to the pre-action letter have been mentioned - and you can bet your last penny that FoSB would have been shouting any such revision from the rooftops to show how significant they were in the role of safeguarding the community and the environment.

They didn't publish it but I will

Following on from that occ letter this is why I believe fosb went begging to kpc leigh day must of then invoiced them for there work and possible had pay costs to occ for there work in defending occ
From that reply, the "challenges" were clearly poorly researched and easily batted away with very little recourse to legal language or precedent; in footballing terms, OCC didn't break sweat.

A cynical person might wonder if Leigh Day saw a goose ripe for plucking...

Hes had more to say on this in an area that has nothing to do with him a completely different council to any that he sits on
Than the huge illegal rubbish tip just up the road from him
No doubt he will have plenty to say when he pushes himself forward at the cameras when the first lorry loads get taken out, no doubt he will claim that his and only his actions got the waste removed!

Awww diddums

Verbal update for their next meeting - KPC burnt any bridges with the lies, refusal to engage with OUFC throughout even though there was multiple chances to do so and delaying tactics trying to cost OUFC money and therefore kill off the club.

Id love to know why kpc think they should be part of the s106

If they were supposed to be dont you think they would of been involved
It's not land KPC have any say over so therefore it's nothing to do with them. But several KPC councillors especially a high profile and not very preachy vegan have an axe to grind so will whinge and whine at any given opportunity.

If you have a moment, Billy, could you share the two minute KPC diatribe from the planning meeting please? It’s worth reminding everyone what they said at it and why OUFC not talking to them is damn well funny.

Melanie Moorhouse’s part starts 1hr 20m 30s.

(I’d do it myself but ClipChamp isn’t working for me.)
