Pretty sure that land was for sale recently. That part of Bicester road has been a go area for the local authorities for some time. For instance has the security storage got planning permission?
Yes the land was up for auction recently the self storage site has gone the site is very close to a travellers site and the fun fair site. Who ever dumped the waste either broke in or had keys to the gate.

AI is a useful tool, I have to now use it in my job. But, I have 40 years of experience in my profession, but management insist on all of my reports go through AI. Quite frustrating.
“Prompt> rewrite the first half of Foxy’s report in iambic pentameter, replace the analysis section with a haiku and finsh the conclusions using the voice of Obama”.

I also use AI in my job (I'm a programmer). AI is useful in suggesting routes to take, but it is bloody awful at coding.
It’s very useful for scripting tasks, especially when you filled your brain with largely redundant Perl and lisp syntax 30 years ago and now have to repurpose stuff in python and Julia!

Ian Middleton has a lot to answer for. Funny how he's dodged all the interviews for this, hasn't put out a statement and is hiding behind MP's instead. Maybe if he didn't dedicate 4 years of his life trying to stop an environmentally friendly football stadium from being built then simple things like this wouldn't happen. This would make even Birmingham residents mortified. I also don't believe for one instance this wasn't brought to his attention but he's probably too scared to do anything as he's intimidated by real men who eat meat.

Kidlington has become a national and global embarrassment today and even representatives in the US and India are talking about it.
“Real men who eat meat” 😂😂😂

What i dont understand on this rubbish dump
This story was first reported in the Oxford fail on October 6th yet 6 weeks later nothing absolutely nothing has been done

According to someone called William on Nextdoor he reported it on the 10th of September and ‘the environment agency is investigating’.

If true this is extraordinary, firstly it may of course have been reported and known about even earlier!, but even so that’s a minimum of 9 weeks before it made the national news. In fact it not just national but international news as this has been picked up by news agencies across the world.

Highly embarrassing for Kidlington, Cherwell District Council, and Oxfordshire as a whole, and that’s before you even look at the environmental and financial issues at play here.

Has Middleton piped up on Nextdoor yet? I suppose he's probably trying to link this scandal to the new stadium.

It's an utter embarrassment for the county.

Not that I’ve seen in relation to this shocking story, which is surprising. You’d think the local Green Party would be all over this especially as it’s on their doorstep. Conspicuous by their absence.

You would have thought as a true, green environmentalist, Middleton would be up in arms about this illegal fly-tip of thousands of tonnes of shredded waste near Kidlington.
A true green environmentalist wouldn't oppose the most eco friendly stadium in the country.

In it for himself, not to helps others. The worst councillor in the country and that takes some doing.

Had a walk to the waste mountain this afternoon it was first reported to the Environment Agency in July since then they have been trying to track down the owner of the land which was sold at Auction early this year but they are having problems getting in touch with them. They have dug a long trench before dumping the plastic mixed with soil.

Embarrassing for Kidlington. Too many people in power trying to destroy the only professional football club on the county taking their eyes off this debacle

I do think we're laying it on a bit thick with the "blame everyone" game.

The tipped rubbish is in Hampton Gay and Poyle and AFAIK, they didn't offer any objection. Above the parish, Cherwell District Council have shown time and time again that they were supportive of the stadium with a few lone voices not toeing the party line and the County Council have been on board from day one.

The villain of the piece for the stadium project is a weak KPC who have spurned a huge opportunity for the greater community because they were fearful of what the development might bring and misguidedly refused to engage with the other parties going forward to establish the good, preferring to concentrate on their fallacies of mistrust and suspicion being brought to the table by certain councillors.

I still can't believe what a short-sighted decision it was to turn down the original SB plans. All of those facilities. Stadium, Ice Rink, smaller courts, etc. Such a huge benefit to the community. Yes, we will end up with a fantastic stadium, but when will this sort of opportunity come again?

So what’s happening about the S106 document?

Thought it was only a couple of weeks away when Jon left?

Sadly, it won't come around again. I hope KPC are proud of themselves.

Going back to the huge pile of fly-tipped waste near Kidlington - Billy was right that it was reported to the authorities in early October.

The mountain of waste has grown exponentially since then it seems.

Friends of the Earth want the Army to clear it up!

25 years is apparently the lifespan of a football stadium these days, what's to stop us wanting to build another on green belt in 2065? It could happen you know, I read it in an FOSB leaflet...

Oufc and occ have a clause in the lease agreement that we must remain at our training ground in east Oxford and in return sb cant be built on

Im not sure if there is a time limit on that tho

Well wasn’t it old seasons who said once we’re at the triangle we will endeavour to have the training ground at SB. 🤔
