National News The Queen - D Day onwards

The Palace rarely comment on the Monarchy’s health.
Charles and William heading to see her.

Agreed but you could say that to almost anything. Apart from maybe lockdown…
Whenever this happens I'm sure the majority of people would accept a few weeks of quite heavy media coverage. This is an event none of us have seen in our lifetimes and I think there will be a lot of interest.

I see our current Queen as almost bigger than the crown itself at this point. My parents are both retired and she’s the only monarch they have ever known, let alone me. Her reign has been extraordinary and I doubt it will ever be matched. Duties aside, IMO she is the single most famous person on Earth.

I’m no royalist but I respect her immensely and certainly won’t begrudge what’s to come in terms of coverage and the temporary impact on everyday life.

Oh yeah. Almost certainly already gone. I doubt they'd say anything to the public otherwise

Some of us have, me included.

I remember her using words like 'steadfast' and 'perseverance' in an interview a while back after Prince Phillip's death. She is probably one of the most reassuring, wise and considerate human beings we have had in our lives. I know that anti royalists may have different views, but I think i am acknowledging the woman, not the title.
