Matches The League One run in

This image gives a decent indication that 70 points might not be enough.

That's foolish! It would suggest that we will only take ONE point at home for the rest of the season (Bolton)

Doesn't matter where we get the points. It suggests that 70 might not be enough. That table still has us taking 3 points of at wycombet and one from Coventry.

Although it will be the Oxford way to beat Wycombe, draw against Pompey and Cov, and then balls it up against the others!!!

Am I the only person who just thinks about our next game?

All these predictions are complete finger in the air stuff. What if Dickie gets a two game suspension? What if Ruffels gets injured and we have no recognised LB? What if Coronavirus means all of our remaining games are played in front of no fans?
If that's the case I think Wycombe and Fleetwood would be favourites, they're used to playing infront of no fans.

Here is another predicted finish table - this website even goes as far as predicting all the remaining games and says it updates the predicted table "after every goal is scored".
That website predicts us to beat Fleetwood and Portsmouth, but lose to Wycombe, and only draw against Rochdale and Tranmere.

Best to ignore any prectiction sites or posts.

Take 1 game at a time and what will be will be. It will drives us all potty just trying to figure out all the permutations. Teams will drop points when you least expect them to and I include us in that. And they also will pick up points when you don’t expect them to.

Having said it's a good idea to ignore predictions, it could easily be the case that both Portsmouth and Wycombe, currently 3rd and 4th, drop out of the play off places on Saturday if ourselves and Peterborough win.

All too close to call between the top eight at present.

It's pretty hard to predict the result of a single league game with any certainty. Since there are (arguably) eight teams competing for the 6 promotion/play-off places there are actually over 80 games still to be played by them in total. Good luck predicting all those when a single 'wrong' result might make a huge difference to the final table!

Being pedantic, I think it's 70 games, as quite a few matches between top 8 teams.

Still far too many matches and all too close to be worth predicting.

It's futile to make predictions on how the final table will look there are too many variables. Injuries, sendings off, banned players, poor refereeing etc will all effect it.
The one game at a time approach is the most sensible way to go.

very astute @Oufcrealist ...... ( and in keeping with your YF name) ;)

conversely, its fun to speculate on the possible outcomes too ;)
