General The "I Never Want To See Them In An Oxford Utd Shirt Again" starting XI

Sam Long deserves to be captain of this team given how many times he gets written off. He plays, fans comment about what a solid player he is to have in our squad and always gives a 6 or 7 out of 10 performance, a few days pass without a game and he is back to not being good enough.
Fast wingers like to run at Sam knowing he's not the quickest. He might struggle for 30-45mins but literally every time he spends the second half switching between having them in his pocket, and kicking them into row Z. The adaptability of the guy is something else.
Mason-Clark in the play-off semi second leg is a fine example.

Andy Burgess, did Jim Smith really play him at Left Back in a playoff semi?

Wait, are we listing players that we "Never Want To See Them In An Oxford Utd Shirt Again"
Or are we listing players that other people have said they "Never Want To See Them In An Oxford Utd Shirt Again", but we think it's unfair and uncalled for?

I'm putting Burgess into the first category. Anyone who had an instrumental role in getting us relegated out of the football league should be there by default.

But I'm nominating Matt Murphy for captain of the second category.

Manager of the second category is Brian 'Horton-out'

Ha. Matt Murphy - worse than Harris.
Never want to see either in an Oxford shirt again.

Well if we're going back, then can I offer Jarman, McGuckin and Fear from that abysmal 00/01 season.

What a litany of bobbins those stats make: https://rageonline.co.uk/mainpage/season/43/

I have a signed Lee Jarman match shirt stashed away somewhere....... I didn`t want it, think somebody sold it for a good cause and I was lured into buying it being all altruistic and that.... :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

That is even sadder than my Peter Fear match shirt. I guess you haven't got it framed, something that size, would require way too much wood.

Single handedly carried that mantle for years, though thankfully didn't have to face the venom that accompanies such comments nowadays.

Steve Biggins.
Eventually scored probably one of our top 10 goals V Man Utd.
