Need 3 points - simple as.
A cold night in Rochdale will need a bit of grit and commitment. Would like to see Brannagan come back in and I also think Mackie will start.
Bit of a pitch related saga at the weekend - one that sounds like Rochdale trying to get themselves in the best position for Tuesday night, shows how big they think this game is!:
Rugby League game between Rochdale Hornets and York City Knights which was due to be played at Spotland was called off on Sunday (5 minutes AFTER the scheduled kick-off time).
Official reason - H&S concerns in removing pitch covers and putting up rugby posts due to high winds.
Suggested reason - Stadium Management company alongside football club were keen for the game to not take place with Rochdale v Oxford to come on Tuesday night. No rugby markings had been painted following Dale's home game on Saturday (they're normally painted immediately following the football when the rugby club have the next game) and a previous press release at the back end of last week made mention of pitch covers staying on all weekend after the conclusion of the game v Shrewsbury with no reference to the scheduled rugby game.
