General The Championship - What to Expect

I’m feeling dizzy this high up!

But what can we expect from The Championship?

Here is a list:

ST and match day tickets will increase, and rightly so!
Goal line technology.
Bigger crowds.
There will be more media attention, especially from Sky.
International breaks will apply all the time.
Much tougher teams.
Kick off times changed much more.
No EFL Trophy!
Join the FA Cup in R3

What else?

I think we have to be careful about going in with a mindset of just survive.

100% If we can add some consistency to our game so that we put in the kind of performances we’ve seen in the last couple of months 7 or 8 times out of 10 we shouldn’t fear anyone. There will be teams in there who are the polar opposite of us - club feels likes it’s dying from the inside, players jumping ship, turmoil over managers and owners. Not every club in that division will be challenging for the prem, and I have every hope we can stay up and establish ourselves as a championship side.

We will be considered as the Championship whipping boys. Des, the recruitment team and our owners have a lot of work to do before the season starts. Saying that we are a Championship side, so will be in an attractive position to attract players.
Des gets to bring in his own players, can’t wait.
I wonder how many pages the transfer post will be 😁

Survival will be the target .4th from bottom is achievable with the correct recruitment strategy implemented .
Up the Manor !!!!

Hi everybody, Bolton fan here, sat in the passenger seat on the long old drive back up north.

Just wanted to drop in to say a huge congrats and I really hope you guys kick on, establish yourselves in the championship (hopefully we will join you in a year or 2). You've got some exciting times ahead with the new stadium and some exciting players, a very likeable and intelligent manager and I have to say, I'd feel far less gracious in defeat if it were against Posh yesterday!

We were obviously favourites but I went into yesterday saying to people that the playoffs are a lottery and I will be able to accept a loss as long as it's deserved and it well and truly was. We didn't show up, you got it spot on and part of the reason we didnt show up is because you didn't let us. Also it should be noted I met lots of Oxford fans on the way back to my sister's place in Bracknell and all were respectful and just delighted with the result rather than focused on trying to rub it in that we were unsuccessful and I'll remember that when I'm hoping to see positive results for you next season.

All the best for your season/future and like I say, hopefully the next time we meet will be a championship fixture 👍

Exactly my thoughts. Also without wanting to sound negative but crowds will naturally be high at the start of the season but if we are in a relegation battle most of the season I’m not sure we will need extra seats.
we averaged nearly 8.5k in a League one relegation scrap season, in a ground that can only hold just over 11k, playing mostly the same teams we’ve played for the best part of a decade

Being in a higher league, with much better supported clubs, who mostly haven’t played us often, I’m incredibly confident a 4th stand would very much be worthwhile

Now whether it’s doable with kassam involved is a different matter

Does anyone know the ticket prices some clubs charge? I’m overjoyed at the prospect of visiting so many new grounds and ones I haven’t been to for decades but I swear I heard that some teams like Leeds and Blackburn were charging some fans over £40
