The attitude seems to be that 'Oh, the incident that happened is not as serious as the Jay Matete payment incident and it's easier to fix than that, anyway, ipso facto the club is in the clear'.
No. This level of f**k up should be on a par with the Matete issue. We're still not getting the basics right and thats two errors in two years in getting stuff sorted with the EFL.
At the risk of repeating what others have said, it's all been too nice, too nothing-to-see-here from OxVox and I should add RadOx to that. On the WATG show, I don't believe that PP or anyone mentioned the EFL sanction from last season. In the context of this latest error, it really should have been. They are both administration errors that shows processes at the club need sorting.
cheers @Trevor L , so we're long overdue on both the September ( football matters) FF , which didn't happen, and also overdue on the March(Board/club management & off field matters)FF, which also didn't happen- along with the monthly Radio Oxford 15 min FF , which is yet to happen over a year later, all which were promised ( along with better communication !!!) by the top table at the last FF in March 2024.
* edit- I was at the last FF September2024- albeit was a Board/ club management & off-field matters FF ( we're overdue the March one, & haven't yet had a football matters one- nor Radox 15 min FF , or improved communication).

When you say “anti-OxVox” do you mean supporters questioning the legitimacy and ability of the current ‘independent supporters group’?.

No evidence for this but in a scenario where interim accounts and projections show a risk of us breaking profit and sustainability rules the only option would be to submit to an EFL 'business plan' or for the owners to intervene by either converting some debt to equity or, at the very least, provide convincing assurances about the scale and nature of future investments in accounting years 2 & 3.
If that scenario were true then we wouldn't necessarily know about it but might see signs like delays with submission, changes in share holder structure or a CEO randomly claiming on a podcast that debt and equity are the same thing - honest. With £16m net losses last year in league one it's impossible that 'business as usual' could continue under championship P&S rules but wonder if our management team briefed the owners on this in advance. Or, perhaps, twigged late in the day and had to scurry around?
We're allowed to lose £39m over three years but also have to provide projections in March of each year that satisfy the league we're not front loading and are in control of losses in future years too.
Or a pesky admin slipup. Yeah. Couldn't find a stamp. Probably just that.

Chelsea spent £60m on agents across the last two windows. Basically a third of our new stadium spent in a year without factoring in transfer fees and wages to assemble some players to scratch around and hopefully get a Europa League spot. Games gone etc etc.
