If the changes are due to the out going personnel making mistakes such as an accounting error which led to an embargo the other summer, poor budget management and over seeing another transfer embargo partly due to a lack of understanding and planning then yes, you could say it is sensible. Is all this personnel change normal or sensible for a business going through a multi-million pound construction project??
(I already know the answer to that)
And look what we've got in their place. The invisible Dusan and, er, nobody. So yeah, sure it could be sensible if you replace them with better alternatives. If you replace them both with one football agent with no experience of English football, I'm not so sure.If the changes are due to the out going personnel making mistakes [...] then yes, you could say it is sensible.
For the last few seasons people have wanted Grant and Tim out of the club.
But who put that non functioning team together ? He / they got paid the money to take responsibility and that goes from top to bottom if the organisation failsAnd look what we've got in their place. Which is why I find the constant name calling and personal attacks against people in our club very depressing. I mean, sure, Tim did come across as a bit out of touch with the fanbase and self-important. But I'm not sure what Grant did to earn such vitriol from people on here, most of whom probably have no idea about the day-to-day running of OUFC. God knows who's actually doing that running now. Maybe the necessary cost-cutting means the owners are happy to just let it slide? But the fact we made global news headlines last week for a stupid mistake shows it isn't functioning brilliantly at present, and "getting Tim and Grant out of our club" hasn't achieved what the people calling for that wanted.
Yes, believe so.I think Horst Geike is in on that deal too isn't he?
When I heard that I thought he might have meant she might move in too!Interesting to hear Jerome on the Dub mention "Aimee McKenzie, who is United's Chief Operating Officer for the moment".
Wouldn't surprise me greatly if that COO role turned into being CEO.
Net debt was £20.3 million in 2022, the year both joined. In 2025 it had grown to £57.8 million. By the end of last season it will have been significantly higher after another season trying to stay in the championship. I expect that will include the spending on stadium development that has brought us this far, but none of it is project debt as such, that will be a separate thing to fund.Particularly now we’re back where we started in League 1.
I’d be interested to know how much the club’s debt increased by under Williams/Grant’s stewardship?
What proportion of that debt is new stadium project, and what isn’t?
How much have we spent ‘on the playing side’, to effectively stand still?
It is a classic case of 'be careful what you wish for'. Tim and Grant weren't perfect and communication wasn't the best but was that partly down to the constant abuse and push back from a section of the fan base? And look what we've got in their place. The invisible Dusan and, er, nobody. So yeah, sure it could be sensible if you replace them with better alternatives. Not sure who was new?
The chap with the blue jacket looks a bit like Rudi Laksmana from the couple of photos I've seen of him. But not 100%
From Google image search:
More likely to be him than who is suggested below tbh.you could be right

It could have been Aung san suu Kyi, she might have been combining it with a visit to Eynsham, where she lived in the 80sFrom Google image search:
This image appears to show Indonesian media executive Hary Tanoesoedibjo and politician Khofifah Indar Parawansa standing together at an outdoor event. [1]The man on the left resembles Indonesian businessman and Perindo Party chairman Hary Tanoesoedibjo, wearing a blue blazer and white shirt. The individual in the center appears to be Khofifah Indar Parawansa, former Governor of East Java, wearing a light-colored hijab and dark jacket while clapping. However, it might be wrong as it gave the following for the woman stood to the right on the image: This image appears to show Aung San Suu Kyi, the Burmese politician and pro-democracy leader.
Don’t think she leaves the house much these days.It could have been Aung san suu Kyi, she might have been combining it with a visit to Eynsham, where she lived in the 80s![]()
I also noticed Jim Goddard is "open to work" on his LinkedIn profile.Andy Taylor has left his role as Senior Safeguarding and Matchday Operations Manager.
Those in the upper levels of staff are really diminishing across the club.
Lower levels too, only those redundancies aren't publicly announcedAndy Taylor has left his role as Senior Safeguarding and Matchday Operations Manager.

The first statement explicitly said they would try to retain most of the important players while also trying to cut costs. So you could say that's what's happening. With very few senior leaders left and board members getting overhauled, it does have a 'clear the decks' feel to it before moving it on. Just speculation on my part, although I thought The Dub sign off yesterday was interesting.
To paraphrase Benjamin Franklin, 'In this world, nothing can be said to be inevitable except death and taxes'. Everything else is a choice.I guess that with the huge reduction in Championship revenues and the huge losses, redundancies and cost cutting was inevitable
Real shame for those affected.
It is, but additionally, as we've seen with the 'Campus Collection' there's cutting costs and there's effectively having noone left to make any decisions and oversee the day to day.The first statement explicitly said they would try to retain most of the important players while also trying to cut costs. So you could say that's what's happening.
Maybe, but with losses of many £m, a cut in income of what £10m and Thohir's family allegedly a bit fed up with funding such losses, not sure the choice to keep the same cost base would be that easy....To paraphrase Benjamin Franklin, 'In this world, nothing can be said to be inevitable except death and taxes'. Everything else is a choice.
