You're confusing where the cash physically sits with how it is accounted for. The rules explicitly require evidence that the injection has been credited to the club's bank account. If £5m goes in, the whole £5m belongs to the club. At 50%, £2.5m merely counts towards the SCMP allowance. The other £2.5m isn't ring-fenced or required to be spent. It can remain as cash in the club's bank account, although the injection itself must be properly recorded as share capital/share premium/capital reserves and cannot be repaid to the owner.

I'm pretty confident they have the money, it doesn't seem like there is a risk they stop funding the monthly shortfall but I would like to know the real reason behind choosing not to tie up a relatively small amount (compared to how deep they are already invested) in equity to allow us to be active in the market.

My guess is that they think that they can get back a large part of their investment once the stadium is given the go ahead and think putting in more capital to avoid an embargo will make little difference to the value of the club as long as they don't sell too many players.

I don’t disagree that the lack of face to face is disappointing and difficult to understand in today’s media driven world. If he had personally stated what the two press releases have said it would have had far greater impact. A lot of the information, statements you reference have been given just not in a format that gives people confidence.

Being on a Board is somewhat different to being a day to day executive though I should think that Grant wd have felt poss. with or without relegation time for a change or as a result of "conversations". The pressure one has to sustain or in some part brought on by oneself is exemplified by McKenna at Ipswich albeit in a head coach role.

I think most people think Tim Williams was not a good fit for our club, they are glad he’s gone.

I also think most people are very unhappy about everyone at a senior level except Erick Thohir who has kept us afloat and is getting us a new stadium.

Now the question is, has he been let down by those running the show or has he employed the wrong people

Things turned south communication wise when Niall Mc Williams left, oh for someone of that calibre right now
