I can't see why he would walk away now rather than after he built the stadium so he could recoup some of his money unless he doesn’t have the money himself to build it or has been let down by people who said they would fund it.

I don’t think in a world where we paid £1.6m for Ole Romeny and dished out social media contracts to Marselino that he is completely innocent.

It’s his business. If at any time in the last however many years he wanted it run differently, it could’ve been. Not to dismiss what you say which can also be right.

Agreed, but at some stage he has to decide whether to cut his losses or continue feeding the machine trying to recoup his investment. If it's the former scenario, then surely the best time to withdraw is before he shells out a lot more money on the club and stadium, whereas if he opts for the second option, he might never be able to get the ROI that he's seeking. As with everyone else, I'm just spitballing as none of us actually have a clue what's going on.

I suppose one more time isn't going to make it sink in but let's give it a go anyway.

Erick does not need to put his own (or his family's) hard-earned into stadium. That privilege will fall to the big investment companies that hold pension funds - the insurance companies and the banks. The stadium is exactly the type of opportunity that they need to realise fixed, long term returns for providing a large proportion (75/80%) of the cost.

The remainder will come from private debt fund, which is a pooling of city investment types looking to turn a profit over a shorter 5/10 year timeframe.

Erick might choose to make an investment via this mechanism, but I suspect that at this point he just sits back and watches his stock in the football club rise along with the stands.

So far we've kept this squad together one month to go ,it certainly is good enough for top half ,75% of the teams would love our squad weve got used to a underdog mentality over the last 2 years so just maybe if we lose 1 player before the window closes fine if we can get someone into to replace that player good its going to be a nail bitter to Xmas, by which time fingers crossed the ground has been given the go ahead and the wheels are back on the bus, only time will tell

The main concern here is injuries ,especially in central defence and attack.
Harris and O Donkor would be ok as back up players but we definitely need a decent striker.
If Long Heli or Brown get injures we are in trouble

Absolutely I can see Leigh playing left center half if anything happens to Brown we are has a team and a club in precaurious situation, but sadly theres nothing as fans we can do apart from what we do support our club .We know football is in a strange place ,I feel let down by our council letting Kassam smooth talking them at the time and then completely shaft us and the council in alot of ways since.

All have to start somewhere @Sarge At least we have a manager who is giving youth a chance, even though his hand may be forced.

Remember under Atkins when Dean Whitehead could never get a game, then because of injury zDeano got his chance and made it impossible for Atkins to drop him.

Hoping that one or two of our younger players can make that sort of impact

The increased number of substitutions in recent years is another reason why we should manage expectations for the coming season.

Fingers crossed the youngsters will do a good job, but having experienced ‘finishers’ on the bench who can come on and transform/manage the game is different to asking youth players to do a job.

They might well do a good job, but we’re asking a lot of them. They’ll certainly get our support.
