General The Board & Senior Management

Oxford United Football Club has confirmed changes to its Board, with the appointment of Rudi Laksmana and Dusan Bogdanovic as directors, effective immediately.

As part of the changes, Dusan Bogdanovic has been appointed Chair, succeeding Grant Ferguson, who steps down from the role after four years but will remain on the Board. The Club thanks Grant for his leadership and contribution during a period of significant progress.

The appointments reflect Oxford United’s continued focus on strengthening leadership, governance and long‑term strategy as the Club looks positively to the future.

Following these changes, the Board comprises Anindya Bakrie, Grant Ferguson, Rudi Laksmana, Dusan Bogdanovic (Chair) and Sumrith “Tiger” Thanakarnjanasuth.

I'm not sure why, but these appointments set distant alarm bells off in my head. I'm increasingly unsure whether ET having overall control of the club is such a good thing.
I am not sure having people come in who have worked with ET before on 2 big projects such as DC United and Inter Milian is a bad thing.

They're very much Erick's men it seems.

That’s obviously true but what does that mean for the club?
I would say Bloomfield’s chances of surviving a bad start just got slimmer, maybe more foreign players in, with a foreign manager more likely if Bloomfield gets the push, but other than that who knows.

Erick is an experienced owner, let's give them a chance.

Poor old BigBoy has had to rip up his 'list' and the transfer window hasn't even opened yet!

I wonder if our Head of Recruitments departure is connected in any way?

Certainly a few off field changes happening, no idea if it’s positive or not.

Feels a bit unsettling and I’m not sure why.

Although this mostly makes sense, one thought I have is does the new chairman need to be cleared by the EFL's owners and directors test before being announced? If so, how long does that take? The changes could have been planned for a while.
Not sure anyone on the board who isn't putting money in needs to pass the test.

Where did I say he's to blame for everything?
As Chairman he was ultimately responsible for everything, good and bad. Looks like he was considered to be accountable by the owner/shareholders, as in any corporate structure.
Any business would hold a top down review after a major event which impacts on cashflow and profitability. Relegation is a bit like losing a major order.
A new Chair is able to be a bit more dispassionate and objective.
Let's see what follows....

Its giving "basket case".

Who knows, but I find it hard to believe he has bought in to be as avuncular as golfing Grant, I think there might be fireworks, Tim’s life might be about to get more interesting.

Being completely dependent on the willingness and ability of ANY individual to fund annual losses isn't a good thing. But that is English football today. In the unsustainable lottery that is EFL who knows who the next Sheffield Wednesday, Leicester, or even Bury will be?
Success to me is still existing as a League club in five (ten, fifteen) years.
There are far worse things than relegation.

These changes are a clear signal that HMS Pisstheleague is about to set sail straight back to The Championship.

All aboard.
Back to back promotions, win the League Cup and then… well I can’t remember what happened last time but I imagine it was followed by a few decades of sustainable success.

Significant boardroom changes and what appear to be improvements to our senior management team .
These people aren’t in it for a jolly, I expect little tolerance of continued poor performance on the pitch.
None of us know these people other than what wiki tells us but far as I’m concerned these look like positive changes for the club.
Exciting times.
