General The Board & Senior Management

Was the first question on the survey I completed. The club have asked that you email them if it didnt ask for your fan number.

Apparently, the Twitter/X link did not have the Fan Number requirement. Hence the request to email. Hopefully, now that this has been pointed out, something has been done to correct this error. (along with all the poor English)

However one looks at this, it is yet another stupid mistake and simply shouldn't happen.

i haven’t had email yet, but from reading all the comments are we sure the survey was actually put together by the club and not via an outside agency. Most surveys these days are done by 3rd parties so the club would have every right to expect the wording etc… to be correct.

As I haven’t received mine I obviously don’t know any other details

I've been in the translation, proofreading and copyediting game for over 20 years now (and probably not for much longer).
In that time I've seen...

awful copy being created typed out on paper
awful copy being created in DTP programs etc.
awful copy being created after outsourcing to India
awful copy being created by people using computer-assisted translation programs
awful copy being created by AI

But in all of these things I can confidently say that the reason is always, always one of two things (or both).

Human error and cost-cutting.

"Lessons will be learned" I bet when OUSP or OxVox sit down with the powers that be. But they unfortunately don't seem to be learning at all. I can assure you that there is absolutely no excuse for the copy errors being made nowadays in our club communication.

Half-baked, half-witted, half-arsed rubbish!

I don't know if others have picked up on this but, Anindya Bakrie is currently in Russia promoting economic cooperation between Indonesia and Russia. They have signed an MoU already.
Makes me feel a little uneasy given the current sanctions imposed on Russia (rightly so, in my opinion)
What would happen if Indonesia or Bakrie himself, were deemed to be aiding Russia? Could that affect the financial support of the club?

I feel like it's probably unlikely to cause any operating issues, but it's not a great look for sure.

Potentially a gift to anti Oxford United lobbyists .
I see he was there as part of a delegation from the nine other countries in the BRICS alliance with Russia.

Christ! You're desperate if you're picking up on 'is' and 'are' !
Actually, both are correct. Oxford Utd. as a collective noun and also as a stand alone entity.
The only thing that might be questioned is the use of both in the one article.
