I've just filled out the survey, took me about 10 minutes and made sure I got all my points across with communication from the club and marketing.

I've been in the translation, proofreading and copyediting game for over 20 years now (and probably not for much longer).
In that time I've seen...

awful copy being created typed out on paper
awful copy being created in DTP programs etc.
awful copy being created after outsourcing to India
awful copy being created by people using computer-assisted translation programs
awful copy being created by AI

But in all of these things I can confidently say that the reason is always, always one of two things (or both).

Human error and cost-cutting.

"Lessons will be learned" I bet when OUSP or OxVox sit down with the powers that be. But they unfortunately don't seem to be learning at all. I can assure you that there is absolutely no excuse for the copy errors being made nowadays in our club communication.

I don't know if others have picked up on this but, Anindya Bakrie is currently in Russia promoting economic cooperation between Indonesia and Russia. They have signed an MoU already.
Makes me feel a little uneasy given the current sanctions imposed on Russia (rightly so, in my opinion)
What would happen if Indonesia or Bakrie himself, were deemed to be aiding Russia? Could that affect the financial support of the club?

I feel like it's probably unlikely to cause any operating issues, but it's not a great look for sure.

195 countries in the world only about 40 have sanctions against Russia. I don't think anyone could use it as a real tool in a planning application.

I was surprised to see a £2 ‘telephone booking fee’ has been added to my Hull City ticket purchase.
