Watching TV News in 2030, where the only thing available is constant updates on Trump and Farage creating world peace, slaying Muslims and slashing local government red tape

I genuinely did buy trump coin 🤣

You never know with him. I thought he might declare in the national currency

Ah… so you were one of the mugs he fleeced and made a fortune for himself in the process… anyone else would have been scam interceptors šŸ˜‹

None of this changes the fact Trump DID orchestrate the 2021 Capitol Hill riots. Firstly he aggressively complained about the election result that he lost, claiming that it was rigged - despite failing to provide any evidence to back this up. Then there were the events leading up to it:- he did nothing to ease the tensions and anger - in fact he enflamed the situation by making himself out to be a victim, and that the establishment we out to silence him.

Then when it did all kick off on Capitol Hill, he refused to condemn the violence, and was unusually quiet. It was only on the next day, when put under huge pressure from his own party that he eventually did the right thing and condemned it.

And of course earlier this year he inexplicably pardoned almost all of the rioters, referring to them as 'hostages' and 'patriots'. Why would he do that?

We all know what his intentions were. His speech was a call to arms addressed to all his thugs like the Proud Boys, but as is typical with Trump, it was carefully worded so that there was no way he could be tied to it, and the words used were open to interpretation. Which is why he gets away with it. Same with Stormy Daniels. Same with his links with Jeffrey Epstein.

And if you think he's going to go peacefully in 2028, think again!

Of course this does not excuse the BBC, but they didn't need to stitch together two clips to tell us what we already know about the Mango Mussolini.

The biggest piece of evidence that his actions on that day were inciting is the number of insurrectionists on the day who used ā€œtrump told us to do itā€ as part of their defence in court.
He’s an absolute past master at generating plausible deniability with his incoherent, ungrounded, euphemistic, read between the lines style of speech. The crowd heard the whistle, however.

The BBC loaded the gun and handed it to Trump.

I do worry if the board have decided that they want the BBC gone/ privately owned and that this is their way to do it.

Every news and media organisation would like shot of the bbc and there are a lot of powerful owners of those organisations, hence why the BBC is constantly under attack. The problem the BBC has is that it’s to meek in defending itself. The BBC is outstanding value when you look at all the content it creates and i do think it should be defended at all cost. Since once it’s gone it won’t come back and will be like the other privatised bodies where in 20 years time we will wonder why on earth we didn’t protect it.

The BBC used to produce pretty much all of its content, and have full control. For political reasons it was forced to open to 3rd party production companies (October Films in the case of the Trump programme), ostensibly to "save money" because "privatisation" is always better (:sneaky:). I believe most of the recent issues were from outsourced productions. So the production co's may well have been in breach of contract in the content, but to those that want to bash it is still the BBC.
That's not to say BBC doesn't have issues, but years of political interference has left it in an almost impossible situation.

I didn’t need to see the BBC thing to know that Trump is a complete c**t. I never want to see it either because the less I hear about that f*****g orange bastard the better.

So today the BBC issued an apology.

Tonight he is back to suing again.

Why didn’t we just shoot the w****r whilst he was here?

I don't think advocating shooting leaders you disagree with politically is a sane thing to suggest.

If "we" shot Trump, the consequences both here and an in the US could have been extreme. I imagine the UK would be tariffed extremely.

He claims that he will nowvtry suing for between $1b and $5b!
It will be in a Florida Court? Is that right?
Presumably he will get an awful.lot less than that ( why on earth would damages to Trump be that much?)

Ā£45m: The amount raised by the BBC's Children in Need.

Ā£1b+: The amount Trump wants from the BBC.

Do you need to know more?

Trump is nothing more than a bully. We saw that with his disgraceful treatment of Zelenskyy in the White House, and we're seeing it here. Unfortunately for him, the BBC are big enough and powerful enough not to buckle to his demands.

Whatever you think of the BBC, they have absolutely played this right. They have apologised, and withdrew the documentary from the I-Player store, but have refused to pay him any compensation. It was an error of judgment, but I don't think there was any intent to deceive. Plus although the I-Player app is available in the US, I don't think many American would watch it, least of all to watch a Panorama interview. If they want to hear anti-Trump documentaries, they've got CNN, ABC etc.

And why $1-5 billion? That is a ludicrous sum of money, and he is doing it because he doesn't just want to punish the BBC - he wants to bankrupt them. Why? Same reason he demanded ABC pull the Jimmy Kimmel show, same reason he barred Associated Press from the White House because they refuse to call the Gulf of Mexico the 'Gulf of America'. He also goes after other outlets he doesn't like CNN, New York Times. He just wants the BBC gone because they dare to question the messiah. Same as with other non-Right wing news outlets who refuse to blow smoke up his ar$e.

Of course, not surprisingly, his press secretary Caroline Leavitt has said we should all watch that bastion of neutrality - Geebeebies!

He is probably going to sue in florida and given how many on here particulatly from the left believed there was not two tier justice and it is dangerous to claim so and we dhould accept a courts decision. I hope those people accept any judgement handed out.

Yes.

Because some people once weren't horrified by some court judgements, they should automatically and unconditionally be happy about every single judgement made thereafter.

That makes good, logical sense.

I think you’ll actually find most on the left think that there is a 2 tier justice system.
If you are rich you can do pretty much anything and get away with it.

The UK has ( mainly)one justice system .
The justice system in the USA and therefore the outcome, varies state by state.
